September IN Review

September IN Review 2020

Apparently September is Medical Appointments Month
September 3 I made sure I had off for the day. We grabbed lunch out at Esther's in Fredericksburg  then , Jim had an appointment  at his family doctor at 2:30. Doctor said he had a heart murmur ,  wants him to have other tests  done .  And put him on blood thinners right away . That was a bit of a shock .
I ran to Bell and Evans Chicken store.
After that we went to the other end of the county for an eye doctor appointment at 5. Then we went to Hoss's for dinner.
After that went to Redners and picked up some pills. Was very expensive day.
That started the ball rolling for the month.

On a lighter note when we were at PA Dutch the very end of last month I forgot we saw this at a campsite. One day we were driving around in the golf cart, a guy had a huge pet pig. Of course we had to stop and talk to him. He had a toy hauler Class C that he traveled in. That was the second time we saw a pet pig in  a campground. When we were at Lazydays in Florida someone had a very small one. We walked by, no golf cart then, and it smelled like a farmyard.

I have been working alot less this month. Which turned out to be a good thing, so we could go to all the Doctor appointments. I like to go with Jim, it is very hard to get alot of details out of him about what happens. The short version is he was diagnosed with A-fib. They want him to have an EKG and echocardiogram. We have to go to a Cardiologist, that was scary to hear.

Thursday September 10th at 10 a.m. I went with Jim to the cardiologist to meet with him. They gave him an EKG, we had a nice talk with the very young doctor, he explained things very well. Basically his heart is out of rhythm and they probably want to do a procedure to shock it back into rhythm. First he has to have a few other things done. They want him to wear a Holter monitor for 24 hours on his chest, will give them alot of info.

Later in the day around 4 we went to my
MIL old house to talk to the new people that moved in. They have been so nice to her and have done so many things for her. We wanted to talk to them about there very generous offer to have her move back in to the basement. They remodeled a lot of the house, decorated beautifully, we had a really nice chat they are very lovely people, two kind people that are a blessing to  come into your life. She had a grandmother that has passed away, that she was very close to, and has taken a liking to my mother-in-law and wanted to give her a better quality of life then she was getting at her new facility. Although she loved her cute little apartment there, she was very excited, this will be really nice for her. They offered to give her dinner every night, she said she cooks a lot. She will be paying alot less now.

September 15th Jim had his appointment at 9 a.m. for his echocardiogram. After that we had lunch at Hoss's then we went to Sam's Club in Harrisburg.

Wednesday September 16th I had off today too. At 4 I went to get my nails done. When Jim got home from work he started to smoke a pork loin. After my nail appointment I stopped at a bell & Evans again and bought more chicken. I bought two whole chickens when I got home Jim took off the pork and put the two chickens on. Each thing takes about a good hour. In the next coming days I made chicken corn rivel soup, a chicken casserole that has onion, celery, cream soup, mayonnaise and water chestnuts mixed together and topped with cornbread stove top stuffing. You put in MW 15 minutes. I made white chicken chili, and some chicken enchiladas. Two chickens go a long way.

September 18th I was at work and after Jim got home he saw a crazy thing. A motorhome drove through the handicap spot across from the bath house /laundry room and came out through the field came out the other end. Doug up the ground a little bit when they pulled out Jim said they were lucky they didn't sink and it was dry, he said they drove through H Loop about three times.

September 19
A few weeks later everything happened very fast Jim got a big truck from work in the boys come over to help. I had to work that day so couldn't come over till after 3. They all moved her in one trip back to the old house.
The people kept my mother-in-law's dog Alfie and he was very happy to see her. Jim said at one point the dog was sitting next to her and the new owner came over and growled at him when he came close to my mother-in-law, which was kind of funny cuz he's the sweetest dog ever.

September 21st Monday after work Jim came home showered quick and we went back to have his Holt monitor put on for 24 hours.

September 22nd I had an appointment to see a PA at the GI office at 9 a.m. we had a nice chat she put me on other medication had to go for a blood test. Then I stopped at Kohl's found nothing went home for brunch. Doing intermittent fasting only eat from 10 a.m. till 6. So today was longer than 16 hours.

Jim was due for a colonoscopy didn't have one for 10 years, he asked the doctor if he could do the mail in version cologuard. So he did and they called end said he had to go see the GI doctor. So a few days after I was there I went with Jim and we saw the same PA Sylvia that I was just at. So he has to have another CO.
What is happening, darn 2020

September 25th Friday I had to have another covid-19 test at work. Apparently we have to have it done once a week now because the positive rates in Lebanon County are over 5%, apparently that's the criteria.

Saturday September 26th Jim had to have blood work done so at 8 a.m. we arrived at the Fredericksburg Health Center to get blood work and unfortunately now they don't do it. So he has to go next Saturday so we continued on with our plan to go to Esther's for breakfast. I just had coffee then we went to Redner's. And we stopped with my mother-in-law we picked her up and took her for a nice drive although the weather wasn't as beautiful as yesterday.
Beautiful fall  leaves on the tree.
Then we went to Moose's LZ in the gap for a wonderful lunch, talked about going to Florida this year and getting her there. I had to be at work at 4 we dropped her off did a few errands and then I went to work 4 to 8. Tomorrow Sunday the 27th we move back to PA Dutch.

Monday September 28th my work schedule changed someone called in sick so I worked the 11 to 7 shift. When I left work close to 8 this is what I saw as I was walking through the parking lot. Almost stepped on it. Freaked a lot of people out when I told them.
What a picture to end on.
On the 29 I was able to make a special breakfast at work for the residents of steak and eggs. My boss lets me do the special breakfast, and no one else. It was a lot of fun they really appreciate it. I'll do another floor next month maybe 2. I can even cook the leftovers and give to staff oh, that's why they all love me, LOL

Two more months before we leave Pennsylvania on January 4th. PA Dutch is staying open 3 weeks longer. So we will be staying here until November 14th. we have to move to a temporary spot until then. We both have a few more doctor appointments before then, hope they're all over soon. Again really excited about going to Florida
