This morning we did our normal routine and I was up for the Walk Fit at 9 a.m.. Still windy out, needed my scarf. When I got back from exercise Jim put the grill on and we grilled chicken tenderloins, two different ways 1 lightly breaded, the other was just seasoning, he grilled two turkey burgers, and sweet Italian sausage. Will have easy meals for a few days, by all our prep work. Had some people stopped from PA chatted for a bit. Had to go the grill was on and lunch was ready. We said our goodbyes.
After we ate lunch we went for a long golf cart ride, almost two hours I think. It's a huge Park TTO. Later we were sitting outside, we were trying our drinks from Walmart, Mississippi mudslide sample bottles and a pina colada. I had a sip of both they were way more delicious than I thought they'd be. He wants to get some more.
We had the awnings out, and I noticed that the AC seem to be running a lot even though the sun wasn't hitting the RV anymore. So we went inside to check it out. The compressor and the outdoor fan was running, when he turned the thermostat off, the fan and compressor kept running. It almost sounded like it was the neighbor, but you could hear it on the roof. He had to turn the breaker off, for it to go off. Something else for my AC man to fix. It was almost dark by then, so a project for another time. Of course when it's going to be really hot the next 2 days.
They're was supposed to be a launch from the Kennedy Space Center at 7:04 tonight. So after dinner we went out and looked. It was really cool outside by then, came back in. Had the news paused and they said now it was going to go off at 9:02. They didn't know why they had a delay on the news, I told Jim because moving day, you think you're going to be ready by 7, but no you don't get out of there until 9.
We went back out right before 9 saw the launch it was a big orange Fireball in the sky, was really neat to see. Then we came back in went to bed. We have a big day tomorrow.
Wednesday January 19, 2022
This morning I was awake just after 6 had a lot to do to get ready for our big day. I even woke up before my instant pot beeped, for my yogurt was finished by 6:30 a.m.. We got ready, I packed a lunch and left at about 8:10 a.m..
On the way to the Tampa RV show on I-4, a car in front of us lost control and spun out, hit the cement barrier wall. Car in front of us stopped, she had stopped in the middle of the 3 lane road. Her mouth was all bloody, was terrible to see.
When we arrived to the show, traffic was starting to get heavy. About 930, As we walked in we were able to see Fiona, Todd and Sheila's fifth wheel as they affectionately call her, and the DRV from Suite travels. Jim and Kellie. L to R
Jim and I feel the Tampa RV show is larger than Hershey because things are more spread out and it's definitely a more fun festive atmosphere. They had a one-man band guy walking around a tall guy on stilts, this funny plant guy, he would stand up, squat down, he used all the vegetation puns like, I'm A fungi.
Beautiful pond at the Show.
As we walked around we went to the tire minder booth. On our way there to see Todd and Sheila they spotted us first, because we had on our Switch It Up T-shirts. We got to meet them and get a picture, we talked to some other switch crew that will be at the meet and greet tonight, also going to the Huddle in Texas.
There was also a golf cart to look like a pirate ship with six Pirates inside driving around playing music, bagpipes walking around Etc.
Around noon we walked out to eat our lunch in the truck. Took the little tram cars back trying to save Jim from doing too much walking. Which is almost impossible at the RV show. The only thing we bought there was a 25 oz beer and Jim got me a bottle of water. Total cost $18. SHOCKING
We left the RV show a little after 3 in the afternoon. Then we drove to Lazydays because we needed Tank Tech RX for black tanks. Jim wanted to get hinges for the pantry that the right door keeps breaking them in travel. . We needed a new vent cap on the roof, I found a microwave popcorn popper to try and make it less calories then the MW bags.
Jim asked if he could get a wiring diagram for the AC, that he hopes to play with it tomorrow and get it running again, for the upstairs AC / heat pump. I had two cups of hot tea as I walked around and he did all that.
Then we left for Keel and Curly winery for the Meet and Greet with Todd and Sheila.
It didn't take long to get there. A white truck in the parking lot, the couple inside saw our shirts and they said we know we are in the right place. They were from Daytona drove over for the Meet and Greet. I said we are going in early to eat dinner. I said come in and join us. So they did. He had a nick name of Cheese, long story and wife Nancy. So fun to hang out with. They are going to Texas too.
The food was great too. We looked at menu on line the day before.. Jim had a burger with bacon Bleu cheese and blueberry sauce on it with FF, he loved it. I had salad with strawberries and blueberries and pecans. Jim did a beer tasting, 6 or 7 different kinds. We shared a slice key lime pie too.
Found out about 212 people there.
Other YouTubers were there too Harold from One Strange Adventure, No sticks NO bricks, a few other too.
There's youngest daughter Alison flew in to surprise them. We all said hi to her, she thanked us all for supporting her parents. So sweet of her.
We bought more Switch It Up merch, they had a line to take pictures with them.
By then it was just about 8:30. We got ready said our goodbyes and headed out. About an hour drive back to CG.
Strange driving in the dark, we arrived about 930. As we came in long driveway entrance, about 3/4 mile, we could see fireworks off in the distance from Disney. We put some stuff away. Jim went to " bed" first, but he wasn't able to stay in bed the whole night.
What a FUN day.
