We got up today knowing it was going to be a very different Moving Day.  Stressful and Alot of waiting for others, But SO So grateful for everyone's help. 

I made us French toast for breakfast. Jim went outside right away to start taking the golf cart apart. 

I worked on the inside to start putting things away. So our friend Dennis was coming after he got off work at 2:30.

Around 12:30  Stewart came over picked Jim up to take him over to the truck to get the ramps out for the golf cart, to get it into the RV. I told him to make sure he thought long and hard if there was anything else he would need from it. He said he only could think of the flag, but later it  was to late then, but he forgot the rebar he needed. At least wasn't anything critical for moving.

I kept working while they were gone. But they were back in no time.

I asked Jim if he wanted to eat something before we left, ofcourse he said he did. The man Never turns down food.

We ate a little something. And I had baked off 6 of the Paleo Almond chocolate chip cookies that our favorites, that I made the other day. 

I did get a text while we waited, it  said I can't I'm out of town. OK guess that was the RV mover from here that I left a message with the other day, but he never said even who he was.

We wanted to be as ready as possible when he arrived. Just hook up and go. We dumped, put problem slide in first. I said we might as well wait until 230 to do the rest because he only got off then. We are half hour away.

We were able to say goodbye to a few people around us, they saw us packing up with no truck probably looked funny. One wanted to make sure we were ok.

I texted him after 3 said we are ready and hope he had a little room in the back of his truck. We had the LP bottle for our grill, wood and blocks we drive on and or level with, and the golf cart ramps.

He texted back no problem and he was on his way.

Very stressful having someone else move your RV home. Not sure which is more stressful. if a friend or having a stranger you hire move you. Can't even imagine what Jim would be feeling. 

When he arrived they walked out to the end of the road to come up with a game plan to make the turn.

Jim saw his hitch first, then I did, was a 16 K I did mention it. Everything makes me nervous. Ours is 20 K I think. Hookup went very smoothly.

We both watched him pull out. HOW really weird I'm sure it was for Jim. The sound it makes was a little bit unsettling but ALL was good, we headed out of the park. The guys chatting the whole time, I listened and only said a few things. 

We arrived to TTO he backed us into our site. I tryed to give him money he wouldn't take it.

We got set up. I forgot to mention that today it WAS HOT out, I saw his truck said 91 degrees when I was in the very comfy back seat.  

I did my inside stuff. I opened my cabinets fridge etc, nothing moved. He did a GREAT job thank you So much.

I got my  6 qt instant pot out. Put pasta, water, sauce tomato paste, onion and peppers, chopped up rest of the Italian sausage Jim grilled the other day. Put on for 4 minutes.

Then Jim called me outside quick, now what. Oh good. Was Rick and Kathy from PA in there golf cart, came to say hi. They offered to help us too, then she remembered they don't have a truck either.

Jim took a solo golf cart ride. 

We ate and chilled for the rest of the evening, so thankful to be here.

This morning we had alot of people to call and things to figure out.

After our normal morning routine. We had to first see if we can extend our stay here at Clerbrook Golf and RV Resort. It would be for 2 weeks then have to cancel TTO. 

We took the golf cart up to the guard shack. The lady told us to go into the office. We talked to them inside and she said someone was coming in on our site in a week, but they can put them somewhere else. So it would be okay with them but Thousand Trails had to approve it since this is an Encore Park. 

We called and got on the Thousand Trails waiting list for return call. In less than the hour they said it would take,  she returned our call. But basically she said NO,  they wouldn't do it. We would have to pay for a retail spot at the campground right now Clerbrook. 

So we went in and told the office. She said we should go talk to the membership specialist from Thousand Trails. They're going to be working in Hershey this year, long story short he couldn't really help us either. 

You think with extenuating mechanical circumstances with the truck, they would cut you a break and let you stay. She gave me a paper with people that haul fifth wheels.

 Later in the day we drove by Stewart and Sallie they said they would take us over. But I told her I left a message with the guy here that does it. I told Sallie earlier today I called our insurance lady she gave me a number of someone I could call that would come tow it also. I also was asking about getting reimbursed for the tows, total of 2 at almost 500. 

We did ask if he could take Jim over to the truck to get the ramps out for the golf car. They can tomorrow afternoon, after pickleball. 

Earlier we were texting and talking on the phone with Auto and Truck Solutions. He wanted to show us video of what was going on with the truck he found contamination in the fuel tank, in the damage to the high pressure fuel tank. Jim suggested getting a larger tank so he won't have to clean it out oh, also we wanted a larger one for a while.. we couldn't figure out how to see the video from Louis so he stopped by the campground on the way home to show us a video. He said about getting money to order the parts by Monday. So we have to call the bank too. Here is a picture of them hatching a plan. 

I wanted to call a friend in TTO to see if he could tow us. Since I didn't here from the campground guy yet. 

I was texting my former boss, she is so funny I really like her alot, she is so smart. My friend just retired after 45 years, wow we just couldn't believe today was the day.

While we talked with Stewart and Sallie, Our friend called back, I asked if he knew someone at TTO that could move us, He said he would, lifesaver. RV'ERS are so nice. We only had to leave here Tuesday but he had to work, SO tomorrow it is, HE can move us then.

We had to after 7 by now, I had put yellow rice in the instant pot before we left. Was way past being ready, but the IP waits for you. 

We got home ate dinner. I tryed to put some stuff away. Jim did too outside till the mosquitoes got too bad.

We showered watched TV, we are plugging through our to do list, Just have to do what needs done now.

This am we procrastinated a long time. Trying to figure out our day. I called Yahala bakery to see if they had Brochen, the German rolls my MIL likes. They had the dozen I wanted. We had a late breakfast but decided not to eat lunch before we left. Decided to go to the bakery first for the rolls, share a sandwich with a treat. 

 Then we drove around  lake Minneola. Then Save a Lot. Then Publix for stuff SAL doesn't have.

Then  we were in Groveland, and Jim said the truck sounds funny. Long story short, we had to get towed AGAIN. This time had a truck full of groceries. 

I called the people we met at Wednesday happy hour and Lynn came in his Jeep to take me and the food back to the RV.

We were going to go up to the St Patrick's Day dance party with them, SO we missed another party.

Jim stayed with truck they took it to same place and he brought Jim home. He didn't get home till after 9 he hadn't eaten since sharing the half sandwich.

While that was going on I was home put the groceries away then I heated  up left over catfish for dinner for myself and made a salad for Jim and I when he returned.  When I finished my salad I took a sip of water and the tiny piece of lettuce went the wrong way and I literally started choking where I couldn't breathe. I coughed and then choked again, that happened a few times. Then I grab my phone and ran outside to look for help. there was two neighbors down the road,  I waved to them and they came up.   They never had to do anything but stayed with me  until it finally resolved itself.  that was so scary that happened two other times to me and this was definitely the worst and lasted the longest. 

He ate when he got home, and said he probably won't be able to go to sleep tonight. He finally went up to try. I stayed up till after 2 am. So many things we have to just figure out now.

Seems like we are sleeping in much later, now because of the time change oh, I guess because we are. After breakfast I got ready and went up to line dance. We danced from 10 till almost 1. Was so fun. 

Then I went home with the golf cart, had to roll up the sides was pretty hot by now. Went home had lunch. Relaxed for a bit.

We went for a ride in the golf cart together now. I said can you believe it is after 3 now. WHAT, time goes so fast, having fun. 

Then  saw alot of people going into the  Veranda. I remembered it was Wednesday night happy hour from 3 to 5. I said let's go in and check it out see if you want to get drinks and come back. He didn't want to, :/  he wanted to shower first. I said OK I will go in check it out alone and you go back shower and bring your drinks back. OK. He agreed to that, I'm always forcing him to have fun, I'm terrible that way. 

I went in and checked out everything. They were selling burgers and dogs, chicken fingers, ect. Fried everything from FF, sweet FF.  Cheese sticks. Pickles, onions rings, etc. They had free sodas, cake, cookies, meatballs,  popcorn etc. So mad I forgot to take pictures. 

We missed last weeks happy hour because of our truck issues, this is the only chance to go. 

I ended up sitting by the door, watching people. This couple came in, looking around a little lost. I said Hi you can join me if you like, unless your here meeting someone, my hubby will be joining me soon. They said SURE 

We talked like fast friends, they are from PA too, Scranton.

We talked had snacks, they were doing karaoke, some of the people were very good too. Jim joined us, and Lynn and Jeanne. 

 The guys also got along great oh, we had so much fun together. I asked them how long they were together, she joked and said 2 weeks, he said it feels like a month. Turns out it has been for two years, they have a motorhome. They were both recently divorced. At 5 it's over. We had made plans to go to the St. Patrick's Day dance party tomorrow night. We got ready to leave and it was pouring. The four of us sat out on the porch waiting it out. One of the karaoke singer's came out. We tried to convince him to sing out here. They made a run for there jeep. There site was close by. We waited a bit longer. Was really pouring. Saw a rainbow, We finally got in the golf cart to ride home, had to drive around the long way to avoid some really deep puddles. 

We arrived home safe and dry. 

That was SO fun. 

Then I made fried catfish and hush puppies for dinner. 

We talked with Bryan in PA, by then was dark, we were going to take another ride. Was beautiful out now.  We of course watched TV, always do.

I was up first this morning about 7:30. Jim was up about an hour later. I watched for our neighbors to be out, to as if they were still able to take us to get the truck. 

We had breakfast and Jim took a shower. When I was ready, he said Mike our neighbor was outside with the door open. So I put shoes on went out. Dawn said hi, and I think your car troubles rubbed off on us. There car wouldn't start. She thought it needed a jump and new battery. We talked for a bit. She said sorry, NO problem, we can call Uber again. He did,  I got ready we were picked up around 11 am.

The driver said he just dropped someone else off here. The truck was great. Auto and Truck Solutions did a great job. They did new motor for the pump changed the oil and checked a few more things. Was just over 1300. Jim thought that was so good.

We drove to the Villages of Brownwood to Cody's for lunch. We thought was so early for lunch then we realized the truck time didn't change. 

Had a great lunch. Went into a furniture store looking for a sofa bed. Nice but pricey. Then walked all around the area. 

So pretty here. 

 We went  into a few stores we like, I like. 

This store had beautiful kitchen and bathrooms.

We stopped at Winn-Dixie I went in by myself, was really nice and quite, lol.

We got home around 5. 

Took a golf cart ride.  Got home put TV on. We were in a  Toronto watch, we were the closest to the area of the watch then we have ever been before. That was very unsettling. We watched the news and weather for quite a while before trying to go to bed, and Hearing heavy rain.

Clerbrook Golf and RV Resort 

It is a huge 18 hole golf course with 3 different RV campground communities spaced out on it. They each have there own laundry, community activity center, and pool. The names are Veranda, Crossroads and Lifestyle.

We got up so late with the time change. After breakfast I got ready to go up for the line dance.

This is the couple that teaches every year. Linda and Lee. 

I was able to dance from 10ish to almost 1. There was times when I sat a few out. 

When I got home in the golf cart, I started lunch, made BLT'S clubs with cheese and turkey lunch meat. 

Then put a load in the washer then we went for a long golf cart ride, and took the trash out.

When we got home made dinner. Did more laundry total 3 loads. 

Called Dee and we chatted for awhile, I gave her a Virtual tour of the RV, she never did get to see it in person. 

Jim received an email that the truck would be ready tomorrow after 10 am. Yeah 

Watched hockey the rest of the evening.

Had a show paced morning, finally started to make breakfast and that is when the storm came through and brought the cold front. Rain was heavy but didn't last long. Was only a little windy, we are in a protected area. 

After we ate our late breakfast we got our groceries delivered from Krogers. Jim loved having beer and booze brought to Him. They have great blue shopping bags, Jim told the guy and he gave Jim some extra he had. Had total of 36 or so. 

 I spent rest if day cutting and stringing them together. 

I got everything put away. 

Later we took a golf cart ride, went to the Crossroads Recreation center to the Cantina, they had taco's, burritos, and quesadillas, etc. We ate there went back to FW, changed and went to the Saturday night line dancing party. 

 Till 9 pm was alot of fun. When we got home was 67 inside really cooled off.

Sunday March 13, 2022

We woke up so so late. Who cares don't care about time change not going anywhere. 

We had really late breakfast. Started to watch a Netflix move, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Don't Look Up.

I had been emailing Dee Walter's told her to call. She did and the 3 of us talked for 2 hours.

While we talked we got a prime delivery Jim was shopping again.

I made taco salads for dinner and we took golf cart ride and took the trash out.  Jim washed dishes again, sweet guy. 

Came home watched more Hockey and watched the Switch it up live on YouTube.
