This morning we both slept in late, was almost 9. Could not believe it was that late. I came downstairs first looked out the back window at our neighbors, there was a DirecTV, / AT&T guy at his satellite dish, he went to hammer the dish down to make it tighter because apparently it wasn't working and on the second try water shot everywhere.
I called the campground and told them the water needed to be shut off. Long story short it took them two and a half hours to shut it off. Because they said they had to wait for the plumber to get here so in the meantime this happened.
People came from everywhere to look. Jum told the story of what happened next door a million times. The one neighbor said when they backed his camper in the other day, Saturday when we weren't here he backed into it, and he bumped the dish that's why it wasn't working.
When the CG guy got here he just yelled at the AT&T guy saying he had to pay for it. Can't they just shut it off and decide that later. NO apparently NOT..Yes took two and a half hours later to a finally shut off the water, meanwhile we had 4 in of water all around the camper. And we were worried about pulling out before when it was dry and sank in the sand. This was our whole day.
What A DAY
We took the trash out in the golf cart when everything was sort of back to normal. When we came back to our site, in the back way, there was water shooting out across the road. SO then I called that one in too. The water did go down quicker then we thought it would.
Later the manager stopped to check things out. She said a relief valve blew when the water came back on up the road. Said we could move if we wanted to for our own comfort. Said we are already worried about moving tomorrow, we didn't think it would be good to try now,. I did ask if we could give it an extra day or two, if we had to, she said OH we will get you out, somehow. She made it sound like we didn't really have a choice.
Now just pray we can get out of here without sinking.
We were at a COE park and Len backed into the water spigot. Water shot out. We called the ranger who came immediately and shut the water off. We offered to pay, they said no. Gotta love those COE people.
