Can't Believe that the year is almost over

Can't Believe that the year is almost over.

Friday December 30, 2022

This morning I went up for walk fit. Donna was back in the park so we did it together. She had her laptop so she had it back on the big screen. We had a lovely chat while we walked.
After we did our 3 miles, I went back home to Jim, showered and got ready for the day, we ended up going out.
Oakwood was so good yesterday with Stewart and Sallie we decided to go again ourselves. After lunch we did some errands. We were trying to find some firewood,  but no luck . We stopped at this place that had pierogies and kielbasa handmade,
the people were from Poland who ran the store. lady had a cool accent and we had a nice chat. They were kind of pricey, and on the smaller size, but we bought a dozen . It would be Jim's happy New Year meal and breakfast the next day.
We headed back home.
Took our golf cart ride. And we hung out in our backyard with the lovely sunset view. Later had dinner together.

 Saturday December 31,  2022.

This morning Jim and I had a relaxing morning drinking our coffee and then planned to meet Neil and Nancy over at the Farmers Market in Brownwood, in The Villages. It was a rainy drizzling cool not so nice day. But we still walked around looked at all the vendors.
Really cool mushrooms And we don't even like them, but they were pretty.

Really nice produce a few different people sell it, but I think it's kind of pricey.
And this tower garden.

Again Neil and Nancy, on the right,, wanted to take us to Cody's, Jim's favorite place, as a thank you to us for keeping their dog. We had a lovely time together enjoying our meal and a few drinks. We were there quite a few hours. Then we said our goodbyes.
Jim and I continue to walk around a little more. Have a few more drinks talking with some people.
Saw this cool golf cart, so fancy.
Then we accidentally crashed a celebration of life party. We were walking towards City Fire American Oven and Bar.
That every time we go past no matter what day or time of the day it is always the happening fun place to be. We heard someone singing wine beer and whiskey. Which when I first heard it knew there had to be a fantastic line dance to it. Which there is., still trying to learn it. And when she finished somebody else sang, and then the next person. We thought it was the act and then realized it was karaoke. I never heard a karaoke party with such good singers one after another.
This guy sang Tennessee whiskey, and was fantastic. And then the lady that sang the first song walked by me, and I just told her how great it was.
Then she started to explain how it was a celebration of life for Chad McWilliams. And how they always would party there and do karaoke, and of course he was such a good guy. You can tell everyone loved him the place was packed. And then I asked her about the shirts that we noticed people were wearing. It said Holler and Swaller.
And about three different times while we were there you would go up to the bar and get a shot and then everybody would holler really loud and then cheers to Chad and swallow. We probably stood there 45 minutes listening to everyone sing, poor Chad.

We People watched and, we ended up leaving around 4:30. And I ended up driving for the first time in quite a few months. Since I dropped off my car and we sold it.

After I drove us home in the truck. We just relaxed and had dinner together. I made us Jim's favorite perogies we just bought.
Watch some TV. Probably said hi to Neil and Nancy at some point.
And then we went up at 9:00 for the New Year's Eve party here at Three flags.
They had tons of snack foods, which I only took a picture of. Jim indulged a little bit.
Donna and John were back again and we sat with them had a lovely evening. Had a pretty good band playing we both danced a few times, I danced a lot with Donna.
Then we left about 11:20. I didn't really want to be there at midnight and everyone gets loud etc.  We got back to the camper it was way past our bedtime we only made it till 11:50.
 Happy New Year.

Wednesday December 28, 2022

This day got away from us, no pictures, we don't remember a thing. LOL

Thursday December 29, 2022

This morning I did walk fit from 9 to 10 am then Jim and I went for a walk together.
After we got home and showered. And got ready and went to Legacy of Leesburg to see Stewart and Sallie Beautiful new home.
This is the sign at the entrance.
They call this the clock tower.

They have been full-time about 6 years. Been looking for a house for a few. And wanted to be in Legacy in Leesburg. We can see why.
Jim's uncle had a house there for years, that my in-laws would spend the winters at. It was right up the street.
They were on a  Cruise when they found this house online and bought it sight unseen from the cruise, with the contingency of approval at there first showing.
Here are some pictures of the home it was beautiful. They gave us a lovely tour. We are so excited for them.
They treated us for lunch, and we ordered from Oakwood Smokehouse, the four of us went to pick it up. We ate it out on there Lanai. What a special treat.
And then they gave us a tour in their car of the community.
Beautiful pool, hot tub
As we drove around we saw wild turkeys a couple of different places.

We went back and had such a lovely visit together. It was so nice chatting and catching up.
We walked around the house too. The outside is so private with a creek and walking path, lemon, limes and orange trees.. she said I could pick a few.. One was just like the one I had in Pa. All were in the back.
We thank them so much for their hospitality and sharing their home with us today.
I always think my favorite it palm trees.
We left in the early evening and were able to arrive home just as it was getting dark.

Time To DOG Sit

Time to DOG Sit

Saturday December 24, 2022

This morning we got up had our coffee and breakfast before 9:00. Then it was time to go over to get Tatum. Neil and Nancy left really early in the morning. So we went to get her out of her crate. Jim took her for a walk first and then , we fed her over there. We took her back to our camper. Chilled for a while.

Later in the morning I looked out the back window and saw this pig all by itself walking through the back pasture. He was a huge black Pig.
Later in the day he went to watch a movie at Nancy's house with Tatum. I was doing some stuff in here. Too much sitting around for me,  I ended up walking up to the building and I did half an hour walk fit by myself.
They had church services and Christmas caroling and a lovely campfire with cookies and hot chocolate for tonight's activity. It was cold, so it  was perfect. After I did my walk fit I stopped by for a minute said hi to everyone and took a quick picture of the lovely fire.

When I return home we had dinner and chilled for the night. After dinner we took her over at 5:00 to eat. Brought her back home,  she's such a good puppy. She does sleep a lot, she is 12, but loves her food and treats.

Sunday Christmas Day December 25, 2022

I was up first this morning took Tatum out for her first walk. When  Jim got up we had our coffee and breakfast then we took her over to her house to eat hers.
Today was a super cold day. As we've had quite a few consecutive days with freezing temperatures overnight. Jim unhooked the water overnight and put the pump on. In the morning he would hook it up later after the sun hit the side of the camper with the hoses.
Here's a picture of the weather for the week. One  Thing about Florida it doesn't stay cold for long. Today was just chilling with the puppy, didn't go anywhere.

Monday December 26, 2022

As we continue to dog sit, we do  our morning routine, it is really cold. I went up to do walk fit. But  we probably wouldn't have went anywhere anyways, just relaxed, enjoyed petting our puppy. This is pretty much how we spent the day.

Tuesday December 27,  2022

Neil and Nancy arrived home about 3:30 a.m. in the morning. I was up first again and  took Tatum outside and gave her a treat. And then around 9:00 am in the morning Neil walked over to get her. She kept looking at me to feed her breakfast. They were so thankful we took care of her, so they could see their family made their trip so special. It was no problem for us, we think we would both do anything for each other. You are both so very welcome.
Then I did my walk fit. When I got home I took a shower got ready and after lunch I made Jim this pizza,
then we headed out to go to an open house. It was a couple acres of land so we figured we'd check it out. When we arrived we went past it. Jim turned around, then he pulled in the driveway. There's no one around, we think we missed it, it was right at 2:00. Oh well it was just for fun anyway.
I did text the real estate place. She said she would look into it, ask me if she could give me a call, I said sure. We chatted for a few minutes,  I said we  just wanted to look, we're not ready to buy yet for quite a while. Then we took off and went to bealls, Walmart and we got diesel on the way home. Then we just chilled watched TV and relaxed.  Had this leftover spaghetti for dinner.
Ir has spaghetti Squash on the bottom and ricotta cheese on top, with my fresh parcley.
Was a very lovely day. Now we are free again.

Happy Monday Into 2nd week at 3 Flags TT, Wildwood

Happy Monday, Into 2nd week at 3 Flag, Wildwood

Monday December 19, 2022

This morning I got up early and made Jim a fancy breakfast. I had kunzler ham in the freezer with peppers and onions that I pre-cooked a little. Then I put it inside Grand biscuits and some cheese and baked them in muffin cups. I had brushed them with an egg wash and topped with better than Bagel seasoning. That would be enough breakfast for three different meals for him. I also made some eggs to go with them.
Then I went up to walk fit, with Kathy and Donna. I met them both in Orlando earlier this season.
This is the Activities building everything fun happens in.
After walk fit I went on a walk around the campground with Jim. Then we took a golf cart ride. We stopped at the pool, had a nice chat with two couples traveling together in big motor homes, they each tow a trailer, with golf cart,, car and tools, etc, all the toys. They are leaving to head West the same day we leave here. We had a nice chat with them while Jim and I were soaking our feet in the pool. Felt great, nice and warm.. Then we went out to the golf cart and I was able to trim his toes. He has a hard time doing it now.
When we got back Jim sat outside for a while, I did some cleaning inside. Later I made this cherry dump cake in my instant pot for dessert
for after a Taco salad's for dinner.
Later I finally got all the gel off my nails. Here's the before and after.
Now till we get back to Pennsylvania for the next 4 or 5 months, I will be putting on flexi nail I just bought. It's supposed to help heal your nails after the mistreatment of gel etc. They look bad.

Tuesday December 20, 2022

This morning after walk fit with Donna and Kathy. It was raining a little bit this morning. Later in Jim and I took a golf cart ride to take the trash out. He found the Christmas tree for me a few days ago, I actually decorated it and got it ready today.
Neil and Nancy arrived today too from Orlando, they found a site pretty close to us.
Early evening right before I started tacos for dinner there was a beautiful sunset.
Wednesday December 21, 2022

This morning WalkFit was just Kathy and I as Donna was packing up and leaving today. After walk fit I took Jim for a walk. And we got to stop and say hi to Donna before they left. Jim got to meet them both again and we chatted for a while. She will be back in a good week. Later we took a golf cart ride to get rid of the trash and picked up our mail. I did two loads of laundry. And our big project for the day was Jim helped me reupholster our two kitchen chairs.
Forgot to take the before but this is the after. You know that ugly fabric they always have on top.

Thursday December 22, 2022

This morning after our regular morning routine I was ready and went up to walk fit. I came home and then Jim and I went for a walk together.
We saw this cool wood pecker flying around here.
After showers and lunch we went to CVS.
Slow news day.
