This morning I went up for walk fit. Donna was back in the park so we did it together. She had her laptop so she had it back on the big screen. We had a lovely chat while we walked.
After we did our 3 miles, I went back home to Jim, showered and got ready for the day, we ended up going out.
Oakwood was so good yesterday with Stewart and Sallie we decided to go again ourselves. After lunch we did some errands. We were trying to find some firewood, but no luck . We stopped at this place that had pierogies and kielbasa handmade,
the people were from Poland who ran the store. lady had a cool accent and we had a nice chat. They were kind of pricey, and on the smaller size, but we bought a dozen . It would be Jim's happy New Year meal and breakfast the next day.
We headed back home.
Took our golf cart ride. And we hung out in our backyard with the lovely sunset view. Later had dinner together.
Saturday December 31, 2022.
This morning Jim and I had a relaxing morning drinking our coffee and then planned to meet Neil and Nancy over at the Farmers Market in Brownwood, in The Villages. It was a rainy drizzling cool not so nice day. But we still walked around looked at all the vendors.
Really cool mushrooms And we don't even like them, but they were pretty.
Really nice produce a few different people sell it, but I think it's kind of pricey.
And this tower garden.
Again Neil and Nancy, on the right,, wanted to take us to Cody's, Jim's favorite place, as a thank you to us for keeping their dog. We had a lovely time together enjoying our meal and a few drinks. We were there quite a few hours. Then we said our goodbyes.
Jim and I continue to walk around a little more. Have a few more drinks talking with some people.
Saw this cool golf cart, so fancy.
Then we accidentally crashed a celebration of life party. We were walking towards City Fire American Oven and Bar.
That every time we go past no matter what day or time of the day it is always the happening fun place to be. We heard someone singing wine beer and whiskey. Which when I first heard it knew there had to be a fantastic line dance to it. Which there is., still trying to learn it. And when she finished somebody else sang, and then the next person. We thought it was the act and then realized it was karaoke. I never heard a karaoke party with such good singers one after another.
This guy sang Tennessee whiskey, and was fantastic. And then the lady that sang the first song walked by me, and I just told her how great it was.
Then she started to explain how it was a celebration of life for Chad McWilliams. And how they always would party there and do karaoke, and of course he was such a good guy. You can tell everyone loved him the place was packed. And then I asked her about the shirts that we noticed people were wearing. It said Holler and Swaller.
And about three different times while we were there you would go up to the bar and get a shot and then everybody would holler really loud and then cheers to Chad and swallow. We probably stood there 45 minutes listening to everyone sing, poor Chad.
We People watched and, we ended up leaving around 4:30. And I ended up driving for the first time in quite a few months. Since I dropped off my car and we sold it.
After I drove us home in the truck. We just relaxed and had dinner together. I made us Jim's favorite perogies we just bought.
Watch some TV. Probably said hi to Neil and Nancy at some point.
Donna and John were back again and we sat with them had a lovely evening. Had a pretty good band playing we both danced a few times, I danced a lot with Donna.
Then we left about 11:20. I didn't really want to be there at midnight and everyone gets loud etc. We got back to the camper it was way past our bedtime we only made it till 11:50.
Happy New Year.
Ah, come on you know the best Karaoke is at our Senior Center. Headed that way on about 1/2 hour. Earplugs included.
