We had a great night in our boondocking spot. We got up I made coffee the old fashioned way, heating the water and dumping it over the grounds. It's kind of fun just doing everything the simple way. Just don't want to to do it every day. Not having to worry about all of our electric stuff running or not.
We were sitting at the table and our neighbors came out to play Pickleball. We had the window open at the table and I hollered out " hello neighbors." We said hi for a minute they were going into play, very nice young couple, they said they were still working.
I made us breakfast. Jim washed his hair in the sink, we prepared for travel day to Williamsport area for one night to moochdock in Christine's driveway.
Our neighbors came back as we were preparing to leave. We chatted with them again, they were from Washington. I got his picture as he waved goodbye to us.
We got ready and pulled out at 10:15
We stopped at a rest area in Corning on 390 for our first stop. It had started to drizzle a little. Then later in the day we had a couple downpours, and rain on and off till we arrived.
I heated up a nice lunch of leftover pierogies and sausage and veggies. It's funny as big and comfortable as our fifth wheel is, it was way easier to heat everything up in here. No slides it makes things easier, when you can reach everything.
Once we got into Pennsylvania we stopped at the Welcome Center, with beautiful views in the back. It was pouring at one point and I worked on the blog for a while. As Jim watched the radar on his phone. It was a very lovely rest area, eventually we both did go in I looked around took some pictures.
The lady was full of information. She said you could go on an ice cream tour of the state, document stopping at six different places and then they mail you a free ice cream scoop. There's a picture you can see with the details top right picture.
We got back on the road about 4:10, we had another hour and 15 minutes to go. We were ready to be finished for the day for sure. Once we arrived at her house, we pulled in her driveway. No way we could do it with our rig. The turns too tight and a lot of low hanging trees.
Saw deer as soon as we pulled out of her driveway.
We went in had a nice visit and she took us out to dinner.
Her first restaurant Choice was closed, she was so surprised, so she called a friend, apparently he's a cousin. Grandson of our Mother's one sister. He has a little Italian restaurant no waitresses showed up today, guess the Restaurant isn't doing well, he has marital issues, which we heard all about. But the food was fantastic. As always I forgot to take pictures. But we all took leftovers home. Christine and I both had salmon with pasta and lovely grilled veggies, with a salad. Jim had a Cheesesteak calzone, he took a third of it home. We thank her for treating us, we each have another meal for later.
Once we got back to the house, Jim got the electric cord out and she found a outlet for us to plug in for the night. I made my coffee in the motorhome and we went in and visited until 9:30, Jim had another beer. Then we went out to the motorhome and I took a shower. Jim went to bed first. I watched a little weather on my phone with our YouTube TV. Got to bed about 11:15. This time I put the silver windshield cover in the side window at our bed. I shoved a microfiber dish drainer in the smaller very back window. They're blinds are just not dark enough for that Morning Sun.
What a whole new experience. Our family cabin is up in that direction.
