Rain coming Saturday

This am Jim put the golf cart in the FW. Did a few more things outside to pack up getting ready to move tomorrow. I made him breakfast. We packed up left a little bit after 9:30. 

I had to drive the car,  for an hour, not my favorite activity, especially a car I don't know. Jim had the truck. We are leaving the car with his Mom at the cabin in TTO.

When we arrived we took her back to Publix next door one more time before we leave.

When we got back. We used the big grill on her deck, to make stuff to take and lunch. Should have gotten a picture of Jim grilling. He made a a few hotdogs and 4 for us to take. Then carrots and zucchini, 4 turkey burgers, and a couple of steaks for them. We ate inside it rained a few minutes. We had salad macaroni salad, all the veggies. I washed up everything packed up our stuff. We left in the truck just about 2:30. We stopped to get more wood. We filled up with Diesel and stopped at CVS to get allergy pills, my head feels like it wants to explode. Things are turning green around here with pollen. We got home it rained a little then stopped, so Jim made a fire. I gave him his dinner outside and I washed up dishes and crocheted a little, before bed.

 We left this morning to go to Orlando a little later than we wanted to. I called the auto store where Jim ordered his mud flaps, they said they were in so we pick them up first. Arrived in Orlando I was cleaning the windows on the car and Mike walked by we chatted for a minute introduced him to Brigitte oh, I asked him if he could check in on her while we're getting the windows fixed. Thank you both for saying yes. It's nice to know someone's there that we trust if she needs something while we're gone.

Then we took a drive around the campground, showed her how to get to the Family Center. Walked around a little inside. She bought an apple juice we talked to the lady in the store. Then we left to go find lunch. We found a Ponderosa Steakhouse, had a pretty nice Buffet. After lunch we went next door to a huge Disney Store.

Thanks to Brigitte was able to shop cuz Jim would have never wanted to walk around as long as we did. Found some good stuff after that we went for a drive.

 Jim took us to  Old Town Florida .  Few pictures from there we walked around a little bit .

 

Then Went back to the campground. Dropped her  off  got her situated inside. It was pretty warm inside so we left shortly after, trying to get back before dark. We stopped at Russell Stover candy for a few things. 

I cleaned the tablecloth,  Jim put the rugs away. Did our tank management. We had a light dinner of manly vegetables. We were pooped I did a load of laundry so Jim could hear it dryng when he went to bed first.

Today we stayed home. We went for a walk in the morning after breakfast together. He was doing some stuff outside, I did laundry. Did a load for Grandma. We had lunch together.

Jim called and talked to his Mom to check in on her. She was well but had a problem lighting the gas stove. She was trying to fry up some mushrooms, she said she did them in the microwave then.

 We left at 2:35 Jim is dropped me off to get my nails done. He went to do a few errands of his own. When I was finished he picked me up, and we went to Save-A-Lot grabbed a few things. Went back to the RV he grilled a steak for his dinner tonight. I had leftover Cracker Barrel catfish from yesterday. Then he grilled chicken, sweet Italian sausage, green beans for later.  I made up a few dishes to take over tomorrow made a salad and a broccoli salad. After dinner we took a quick golf cart ride to throw away some pizza boxes. Was dark by this time. We saw a guy carrying a pizza into his RV. I asked him where he found  his firewood, cuz we couldn't find any close by. He said oh here I'll give you a bag. Campers are so nice. Jim came home made a fire and I worked on my inside projects for the rest of the night. Here's my before and after nail shot. Still a lot to do, on this beautiful day we had in Florida.

We left to go to TTO, from 3 flags to pick up  Brigitte at 9:30 am. We stopped and filled up the gas tank and another quart of oil first. Jim  noticed the car making even more weird loud noises. When we arrived at her cabin in Orlando,  Jim saw this big oil puddle from yesterday. So he got on the phone with budget rental car and found one just a little out of our way, for our day of fun. The rental counter was inside a new hotel lobby, not quite sure if they were open yet. But Brigitte went for a heck of a hike trying to find a bathroom open. 

Jim made the trade in for a new one which was a Mazda SUV. It actually was a little easier for all of us to get in because it didn't sit on the road like the other one.

A really nice deep blue sparkly color. And we have Florida plates now not Ohio. Sorry Ohio not that there's anything wrong with that. We really feel like Floridians though. Here is the oil puddle.

 Jim and I made a quick changeover of all our crap. He got acclimated to the new controls. Tried to get the GPS to work, this one has one, that other car was a no-go, at least he  got the  map running, the other one didn't do anything. 

So we're off to Cracker Barrel for lunch. Brigitte found a new hat she likes is really cute on her. She had breakfast pancakes bacon sausage ham eggs grits scalloped apples oh, man that woman can eat. She did take some home for tomorrow. And so did I. I had fried catfish coleslaw and fries Jim had chicken fried chicken and gravy, they even had the fire going. It was fabulous as usual.

 Then we went to parkesdale farm for strawberry shortcake. 

I wanted some produce zucchini, oranges, and I found some really nice fresh green beans. Bought myself a pair of strawberry earrings, a palm tree keychain for the golf cart, and a trinket for a friend at work.

Today was a lot of driving more comfortable in our new car. Then we headed towards Orlando went to Publix. She wanted to buy more food since we leave soon to go get 2 RV windows fixed and she'll be there a few days alone. After Publix we took her home got her situated. An hour drive back to 3 Flags. We put our stuff away, and crashed at the end of the day.

Groundhog Day in Florida doesn't matter, it's always beautiful and sunny here. They had a lot of snow in Pennsylvania which brought our 83 degree temperatures down to 60, oh well. 

We left at 10:30 a.m. to go to Orlando to see grandma. We stopped and got gas first, and another qt of oil. Arrived a few minutes before noon and a few RVs were parked out at the road weird, trying to be the first ones in. We had a nice visit, we brought our lunch and she had leftovers from the other day. We played a dice game we learned last year here, called Left Right Center. Each game goes very quick with three people. She won three times I won twice Jim won the last game. 

He JUST told us he never won a game before. We played with 8 people last year.

The lawn care people were trimming her palm trees.

We left to come back to three flags at 3. We stopped at Flippers Pizza for a quick bite, even came home with some leftovers for tomorrow.

Then we ran into Publix. I stopped at Mango and booked a nail appointment for Thursday at 3. 

I drove back to the RV in the crazy Rent-A-Car. It's a weird little car, never drove a push button start car before. Then we got back to the fifth wheel we had a lot of stuff to put away groceries dishes I washed over there, we filled up water jugs over  there, Jim had to put beer in his fridge, we went into the outdoor freezer. I practice my line dance watched a little TV. We have fun plans for tomorrow.

Moving day for Brigitte to Orlando 

Today we left at 9:30 am to pick her up at the hotel. She had everything packed, we used luggage carrier to haul it down.

We only could arrive after 4. Jim started to drive towards there. We had alot of time to kill.

Then we drove around some retirement Communities.  Then we went to Walgreens , we had lunch at Ruby Tuesday's . Then we went to Target, Did a little food shopping . We arrived in Orlando Just after 4, Checked in at the gate and headed to her cabin . 

Jim got her in, we carried all her stuff in. Between the 3 of us, we put stuff away got her all set up. They had the bed made, towels all folded cute. Super nice, even better then we expected.

 Jim and I arrived home just after 7.  He had chili I had leftover pork chop and veggies from last night . What a busy day . But it seems like she's really going to like it there.

We picked Brigitte up at her hotel At 10 a.m. . Jim and I had breakfast in the RV , she has stuff in her room , she loves her cream of wheat . We took her to the First Baptist Church of Leesburg . She used to go there back in the day with my father-in-law . It was only 20 minutes away from her hotel. As expected everyone was lovely . 

We left church around noon, she wanted to go back to one of the stores to return a few items . It's easier for her to take everything home and try it on , And then take it back the next day. Which works out great for me cuz I got to shop some more too. I had a dress on I wanted to get A little black sweater for . Found one white one Black , It was a lot of fun shopping again with her.

Then we took her to Yahalla Bakery . 

She told us about that place years ago, we go every year, It's a German bakery . Was very full Small inside,  So the line started outside . We had a lovely lunch at the deli And then had a treat from the bakery, We ate Alfresco . They Have live music outside on the weekends, usually a guy with a guitar. Wish I would have taken a pic of the food, always forget when we're hungry.

Then we dropped her off at the hotel , she had leftovers for dinner tonight . She got two desserts Cheesecake and a carrot cake , They're beautiful . By this time it was after 3 . Jim thought the rental car was making a weird noise . I was texting Thomas for a while With a picture of this Acura .

He knew everything about it . We ended up going to a gas station and putting 3 quarts of oil in it , It probably would have taken one more . Then we  went back to the RV, I chopped veggies,  Jim Grilled them , I change my clothes and went for a walk . Was supposed to rain heavy from Midnight to 5 a.m. but it never really did, just a few drops, put a couple pork chops in the convection oven for dinner . Jim watched hockey on his phone. 

I packed up all this clothes to get rid of, found a donation box near hotel. This Camping life is Awesomely Fun.
