This is our motto now that we retired.
Boy is it hard to get up and moving early and out the door. We did our best and left at 9:00 a.m.. Tampa traffic is busy, beautiful picture of the skyline.
Apparently the airport was busy too, can't believe I got this shot of this plane.
We arrived at 10:00 a.m. to the show. Later we realized we missed our first video with Todd. So much to look at, here's a picture of spacecraft 53 ft custom fifth wheel.
Beautiful reflection in the water.
It is amazing the custom features they put in this thing. Todd and Sheila's video he mentioned when you're in high elevation, it can pump pure oxygen into the fifth wheel. Also what's crazy is the bedroom in the back, lifts all the way to the ceiling and a car can go underneath during travel. I have some pictures but it doesn't do it justice. I'm sure you can look them up. Todd and Sheila said they talked to the owners of the people that it belongs to. And it's the first time they had seen it, that must have been incredible for them.
Later we came across switch crew hanging out at a beer stand. With $10. beers, too much for Jim. And ME
The crew has 19 RVs staying together on the property. With 30 amps that has been hit and miss, mainly Miss. But their switch crew, so they're dealing with it. They have a potluck together every night and we were invited at 5:30. Sounds like a lot of fun we'll see how things go.
Later we went to a meet and greet with the Brazen Brits, Laurence and Natalie, here's a picture of them with Chad and Sabrina.

We also got to officially meet the Wayward Wags, with Leslie and Dustin, we were at TTO at the same time. But they were never available when we went by in the golf cart.
and their bearded dragon, they travel with, Scout.
By this time we were getting hungry between 12:30 and 1:00. I had made us an awesome lunch so we walked out to the truck. It was really warm out today, so the truck was warm. Jim took out our lawn chairs and put it on the Shady Side. We're camping with our truck now.
I made us a lovely turkey and cheese with lettuce and tomato sandwich Late July tortilla chips and chocolate chips zucchini cake. It was fantastic and hit the spot.
Then I took a workshop on solar. Here's a couple interesting slides, above he showed. Jim had no interest and waited out under one of the domes. It felt good to sit down in a comfortable seat.
Beautiful front kitchen
Then I went into a few Park models, his Mom would love them. Beautiful view of the Tampa fairgrounds.
Then I found my sofa that MaryJo from TTO sent me a picture of, when they went. I actually like a different one.
You can get it in fabric or pleather, I think they call it. He said it wouldn't peel like ours did. It is a Sofa bed with an air mattress.
We saw Todd and Sheila a few different times as we walked around the show.
Here picture of a New Horizon FW with rear kitchen.
We always stop to see Drew and or Cole, whoever it here. This year there Mom was here to, we haven't see here in years. Got to say hi quick. They are beautiful.
We finally got to meet Wil from Talona Ridge. Saw him at the Huddle, never got to talk to him. I found a fun way to get a picture together with him.
Since we're from Hershey Pennsylvania area they claim their RV show in September is the biggest in the country. Tampa RV Show claims they're the biggest. Since we go to both we are voting for Tampa. The reason Tampa is way more fun and festive, and they spread the show out so all the RVs aren't quite on top of each other like in Hershey. Plus there's so much fun and festive things going on makes it way more entertaining. There is a one-man band people on stilts,
This little wagon pulled by an armadillo, which had a little motor under it.. later we saw a few more things.
One thing we always do at the show is stop and see the Cricket golf carts like the one we have. There's so many new advances on the new ones. They have such big tires on them now.
But they wouldn't fit in the fifth wheel compartment if we had them tires.. They really have some Jazzy paint jobs too. Here's a picture that was pretty cool. We talked to the salesman a little bit about ours.
After all this Jim was really tired, about 6 pm or so. We couldn't get through to Cindy, they were filming with Todd now I think. We said we were not going to make the potluck. We headed out to the truck, and still had to drive in the dark. Took a little less then an hour to get home, we were wiped out. Tomorrow we will get up and do it all again. I told Jim we have to try and pace ourselves better. LOL
Wish we could have gone to the rv show. Would love to meet all the YouTubers we watch.
ReplyDeleteWe would really like a small golf cart here. If it had a roof then we would not have to stand in the rain waiting for Boondockers to arrive. Not only that, we are lazy.
