This morning on Wednesdays is walk fit only. I did make plans to go with Barbara to Polo Park this morning for line dance over there. It's very close to Orlando. But when I got to walk fit, I told her I wasn't going to be able to today. We had to go to Lakeland.
After I got back home showered and got ready Jim and I went to Lakeland. He had made arrangements to pick up a new Bigfoot control panel for our jacks. We met Roy the owner, we guessed he was probably over 75, what a lovely sweet little old man, who knew his stuff. Just took him a little longer to do everything. We spent almost an hour with him.
Talking about the control panel, he said Jim was doing everything right. He also told us about his wife Rita, who had a fib and was still in the hospital. He was very concerned about her. We asked and he even told us some places to go eat that we were planning on. He helped us decide which one.
After we left Roy we headed to Johnson's barbecue for lunch. It was one of two places that Timmy and Kathy told us about the other day.
We had a lovely lunch, I took Tupperware along to pack leftovers.
We definitely could have ate it all, but we stopped and saved it for tomorrow. We had a cold bag in the truck we packed everything away.
Since we were so close to Parkesdale, in Plant City, we decided to go to the Strawberry Shortcake place we like. We never did get to go last year. We had a short cake each I took half of mine home, and I got some corn on the cob.
Then we left and made a quick stop at Walmart, and CVS. Our drive home was about an hour we arrived at 5ish we had a leftover Burger for dinner.
Then we thought we'd take a quick golf cart ride and go see where Neil and Nancy were. She texted me the other day and said they were here. When we found out our other friends are right across the street from them. Site 37 and 38. We didn't get very far when Jim said he had a full charge but, he had his foot all the way to the floor, we had no power in the golf cart. He would stop and then he would press the pedal again and it would go for about 35 ft and then kind of stop again.
I walked home and followed him and Jim went like that and did make it back. He looked at a few things and by now it was almost dark so he said he'd check it out tomorrow morning.
Good ideal taking Tupperware, will try it.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your visit. Glad you will be here on a Friday night. The last two weeks we have gone to a venue about 24 miles away on Friday. It was recommended by friends from Senior Center. Large dance floor, $6 admission, everyone brings food share, dinner at 6:30 then a great band starts at 7. All kinds of dancers. You will really like it.
