This morning we left at 9:00 a.m. for Brownwood The Villages Farmers Market.
We walked around the square then,
Jim got his margarita and sat under the bleachers while I walked around some more. I walked around all the vendors again bought a magnetic bracelet. This older man was explaining its benefits, and he was just too sweet to resist.
I walked around the Outer Loop just to get some walking in. I really wanted to get a ice coffee at Dunkin' Donuts. Never did before, talked myself in and out of it, again never did get one. I prefer to make my own.
This guy was playing guitar sounded great, easy to look at.
Cool golf carts
This one said in the back has AC, it is closed in and would help with pollen getting shoved into your face.
Someone selling flowers
Then we went to Cody's for lunch. Jim's favorite place. Later I got a text from MaryJo. She wanted to see if it was convenient to call, I told her to feel free, it was after we were finished. She had more questions about Thousand Trails membership. They're still trying to make their decision.
Later I got a text from David Kahanamoku. With the HDT. He wanted to confirm that tomorrow at 10:30 would be good for us, for him to bring the truck over. That is so sweet of him, I can't believe that's even going to happen, so exciting.
We had a wonderful lunch, Jim decided to get ribs he only ate a third of it, look how ginormous this is. I had a pork sandwich. Half of it, I should say.
Turned out these two meals ended up feeding us six different times, till we were finished with all the leftovers.
Then we started talking to the table next to us, they're from Michigan, snowbirds in a fifth wheel we chatted with them for a while. Jim ordered another round of beer.
Till we finally end up leaving almost 3 hours later he had six beers. Guess I'll be driving the big truck.
After we left I drove the truck to Tom and Becky Olish. They invited us to see their house in The Villages, well near the Villages, very near.
We just saw them in TTO, they just got home, MH still in the driveway.
They live in a beautiful Community I would love to go to eventually. It was Continental Country Club. Where you own your own land. She ended up texting her real estate lady there. And we ended up going and looking at two houses for sale. The first one was very new and on a double lot.
You pay a maintenance fee. Or whatever they call it here, just under $300 a month, but if you have a double lot, you pay double. But you don't get double cable and double garbage and double water, didn't quite seem fair, except they had a little more grass to cut. The house was really new and there was only a few minor things I didn't like about it.
Like the two-tiered island and the
sunken living room.
Also loved the huge pantry, but I would have to open 11 doors before I found what I was looking for. Would drive me nuts. Two big barn doors, or a different configuration, would be better.
But had a two-car garage a great space outside. We told them the only way we'd buy now is if we could rent it for 10 years. And have it pay for itself, she said you could get $2,800 a month for this place for 5 months, it would pay for the whole year. That sounds like that would be awesome. If It could pay for itself till you ready to move in.
We drove around with Tom and Becky got to see the pool and all the amenities, talk to a few people after we saw the houses.
Has a golf course the views are great, alot of shade around.
We saw a few gators. Till we got to leave it was right before dark. Jim drove home from there and then we ended up having a late dinner. What a fun day.
