This morning was chilly and definitely needed heat on, but it was alot nicer out. I think the rain is over for now.
Here are our travel plans for our route to Florida. It's 4 nights, with 5 travel days.
We left stop #1, an overnight at Cinnamon Creek Campground, Dixie Inn, just east of Shreveport Louisiana.
We drove for hours and hours saw this guy, he was our neighbor last night, next to us, double towing. Wonder what's in there??
We drove about 4 hours today, arriving at stop #2 a KOA in Seminary MS. Really way back in off the highway.
Wanted to walk around a little but was so cold out. We never did. Had dinner relaxed and called it a night.

This morning we're leaving the KOA at 9:50 am, in Seminary Mississippi on our way to Robertsdale, Alabama for a night.
The only issue we had was the GPS didn't know of a construction detour we were on. 98 was closed to 158 to 65. The Garmin RV had a different idea where we were.
We had stopped one other time going through the area.
First we went in and got sandwiches for lunch, went back out to the truck to eat. Then we went back in for probably over 2 hours, so much to look at.
Then Kathy Roberts, Switch Crew member saw us. She was with her mother and so excited to see us, we met at the Texas Huddle. She said I just saw you in a video.
We had a nice visit, got someone to take our picture. She lives in the area.
Love the horse pictures hay girl, hay.
And Live like someone left the gate open.
Then we continue to shop and look around. Jim was doing his Cowboy look, trying on hats.
This guy was happy to pose with his fudge. That sounds funny.
I love this picture of the blue horse the Buc-ee's Christmas tree, and a huge meat counter, can't believe people come here and buy meat, I guess if you're local.
I told Jim if we stay another hour so we probably could just have dinner here, I could have ate another sandwich for sure before we left. No... so we left and went home. They were doing trick-or-treating in the campground.
Mia, our 11 year old GD at home, still young enough to want to trick-or-treat.
Saw kids walking around a little. It was really cold and we stayed in and eventually had our own dinner.
Happy Friday November 1, 2023
This morning we got up and ready to leave. It's cold 45 degrees at 9:45, definitely with a wind chill factor. We have to deal with a time change today too. Also daylight savings time ends soon too.
Today is a short travel day too, Alabama to Florida, 225 miles today. We packed up we found a trail of candy through our site, as we saw kids walking through last night. As a good camper, I picked it all up.
We were close to the highway easy on.
We only had our one stop, had lunch, chicken salad from Buc-ee's and first palm trees.
We arrived at #4 A Stones Throw, in Lamont, Florida also right off the highway. This time Jim picked a different site, at the other end of the campground. So nice seeing palm trees around us.
You never see anyone while you're here they have a nice building, you can look in the windows, but can't go in. It even says OPEN, but nope.
You can go into a small laundry room with one washer and one dryer, they have, a bathroom available. But that's it.
Eventually we got a neighbor in a huge New Riverstone and what looked like a brand new F-450 too. We chatted with them a little and then they finished setting up. They were from Wisconsin said they're heading to Florida. I called her on that, and said I did that the other year. Lol we're in Florida, it's just doesn't feel like it cuz it's not our final destination either. We laughed and laughed.
Jim went to fill up with diesel and I figured out what we spent on diesel for October travel month. I shouldn't have done it. $1,200. Ouch
After we get back from the Keys it hopefully will be alot less.
Almost there, our last consecutive travel day.
