Brownwood Square Farmers Market

Brownwood Square Farmers Market

Saturday February 10, 2024

We got up and had our coffee getting ready for the day. We were not moving too fast.
Thomas showed up a little before 10:00. We got our morning hugs.
Then we left for Brownwood Square Saturday's Farmers Market in The Villages.
First vendor Thomas saw was. German crepes. He said that would make a great breakfast.
Jim and I had them the first time we were here too.
Sarah had one with bacon, egg, spinach and cheese.  It was huge.
Thomas had a sweet version with bananas.
We sat at the grand stand area where they play live music from 5 to 9:00, every night.
Nice place to sit and enjoy the crepes and watch people.
As we walked later they loved taking pictures of the fancy Golf carts here.
They both really liked this one.
We walked around the square quite a few times. Kerri thought it was going to be bigger. Jim had his morning margarita, Kerri joined him today with a strawberry daiquiri.
I took her in a few of the shops that I enjoy here. One's a home store, and a few others. Nothing was purchased and Jim and Sarah said together, while the three of us window shopped.
Then we walked over to Cody's and had a wonderful lunch together the five of us.
It was packed that day. Jim really loves Cody's, but they were super busy and his burger with the egg on top. Was so overcooked the burger and bacon were burnt. We couldn't believe it, was the first time he ever sent anything back there.
He should have taken a picture of it. We thought they would have the manager come over apologize,  and take some money off, but they didn't. The waitress was nice, but I guess she didn't have the authority, who knows.

After a wonderful meal, besides that part, we left.
Then Kerri wanted to see another  Villages town Square.
We went to Lake Sumter Landing, next and walked all around.
Then we saw this guy with two big parrots. We talked to him quite a while, everybody held a bird, but Jim and I, we're good.
Thomas even tipped the guy five bucks.
He was telling us all about how he owns the bird now that was in the TV show Beretta, with Robert Blake.
He was the guy version of a crazy cat lady, except with birds.LOL  Fun way to make a few extra bucks I guess.
Then we remembered there's a cool boat ride here at Lake Sumter Landing.
When Jim and I did it, I guess a few years ago, it was $2 a person. Went up to a whopping $3 a person now. It was a fun little 20-minute ride. The boat wasn't even at capacity. They do take Fishing Charters out,  I think he said every other Friday and Saturdays, max four people. Doesn't matter how many, it's $250, for 2 1/2 hours I think.
Then Kerri wanted ice cream, we went next door into Haagen-Dazs and everybody had ice cream, except Thomas and I.
I had food leftover from lunch, we figured we should head back.
Today was a beautiful hot sunny day.

We arrived back at the campground. Later Sarah was driving the golf cart, chauffeuring them around. Now a license driver.
Kerri and Sarah turned in, and stayed back at the cabin.
Thomas came back over, and the three of us had another leftover pork sandwich, and he watched the hockey game with the two of us.
What a fantastic way to end the day for Jim and I.
