Cullman Alabama to Biloxi Mississippi

Cullman Alabama to Biloxi Mississippi Mississippi

November 11, 2022

We left Len and Phyllis and had about a 5-hour Drive and it turned out to be lovely. Great weather and light traffic. We arrived at Golf Beach RV Resort.  We were supposed to go the beginning of the year, but had to cancel because of the truck issues. So we rescheduled it for a few days again. Was great, a little cool.. Always breeze on the water.

The sites were tight-ish but we got backed in,  but not horrible, of course someone's always watching him back in. Some guy even said to us oh, we thought we were going to have a good show, but Jim backed up in  one shot. He was telling us later somebody else had a real hard time. After we got situated we walked out saw the pool and  talked to some people.
Watch the beautiful sunset. There was a small wedding party that was there too, so pretty to see.

Then we were talking to these people with a little Class B van, we started walking back to our rigs together and Jim said he didn't have any beer. He said he was going to go make a booze run, and he offered to bring Jim beer. How nice was that, good hour later he dropped off beer for Jim. I love RVer's.

 Saturday November 12th

Later in the afternoon when we were finished with lunch. We took a walk up the road to Edgewater  mall. I haven't been in a mall that huge,  I can't even tell you when. Didn't even know they still existed. It was so cool.
For my puzzle friends, there was a store with all these puzzles just outside of it,  they had the world's largest puzzle Jim was looking at.
Here's a picture with a lot of stats on it.
Then this horse sculpture was there beautiful. And the story behind that was posted. This was made with drift wood that washed up on the beach during Katrina, was beautiful.
More details here on it.
A really cool sand castle.
And these princesses were walking around the mall. So cute seeing the little girls come up to them. I think that would have been a fun job for a young girl.
We were there for quite a long time. So many cool stores to go into. They even had a nice food court. We did not even buy anything,  but what fun for me. Some stores we probably were never in before, Like Dillards. Lebanon not that fancy.. We had a nice walk back it wasn't very far from the campground about a few blocks maybe at the most.

We got back to the RV and enjoyed our site with the water View. Had a nice relaxing evening after dinner.

 Sunday November 13th

After lunch we took a drive and went back to the mall. Walked around a little more. Then we went and got fuel. We wanted to go check out the campground we stopped at on the way back last season called Camp David, it was so close. We had the best water View there out the back window last time. We decided to go check.  It was under the process of renovations, talking to the owner,  he had big plans. We wanted to see the progress, sadly when we arrived the place was empty only two RVs there and nothing else had happened, it was a real bummer. Guess things didn't work out for him.

Then we headed out and stopped at Walmart before we went back home.
Later in the day we walked across the road, walked along the beach, took some pictures of some beautiful sunsets.
This was called city of Biloxi Coliseum Park. You could make a reservation for the fire ring in the picture above and have a campfire on the beach. Hard to see but there was people there with the great fire going. I so wanted to go over and say hi. Jim not so much.
Then this was the stats of a different floods that occurred, it was all documented on this building which had  bathrooms and nice views up there.
Then  we watched YouTube video with Switch It Up with  Todd and Sheila LIVE. And then we watched Yellowstone. Awesome day chilling at the beach.
 Monday November 14th

After breakfast we got motivated and Jim and I worked on the two back curtains on the side windows.
Can't believe how long it takes. A lot different than just hanging them in a house. Took forever to find what would work to get the result I wanted to end up with. They look fantastic. Really helps to keep heat out.
Then Jim went outside for a break and accidentally started drinking beer. I said I wanted to vacuum quick and do a couple things inside. So I worked a few more hours, but then he said you still want to go for a walk. We had plans to walk up along the beach to this restaurant. He said I might stagger a little LOL. He didn't.
So we ended up getting ready, and that is what we did. It didn't look as far as it was, we walked a total of about 5 miles round trip till the evening was over, had a wonderful meal up the road at Lucy's.
Inside, was not busy at all. Food really good, and more beer...
There cool sign out by the road as we walked home.
Over half way back it started to rain just a little, very lightly. Continued the rest of the way, got a little heavier the closer we got to home.  We got back just in time. It rained pretty good after we got in,  for a few hours at least.
When we  arrived home it was 8:00 p.m. wow 5 miles, was fantastic I bet this place is hopping in the summer we had an awesome waiter and there's only one or two other couples inside.
