Switch Crew Campout, Ladies Shopping and Shrimp Boil

Switch Crew Campout, Ladies shopping and shrimp boil.

Saturday May 4, 2024
This morning I was up first, and had an entertaining view later of our neighbor backing up to leave. Jim and I made alot of silly jokes as we watched them pack up.
Well I did most the watching, lol. His wife just stood like a statute holding 3 big dogs.
I always say I don't do much, but I help more than she did. ANYWAY.....

We had a relaxing morning, I made us scrapple for breakfast. It's a Pennsylvania Dutch staple.

Worked on the blog, and procrastinating on getting ready for the day, it was about time to eat lunch, and Kelly stopped by to see if I was ready for our ladies shopping day.

I had Jim grill two pork chops outside on the Ninja, his lunch.
I walked up to meet everyone and Kelly picked me up, as I came out of the CG bathroom, along with Cindy and Nancy.
First we went to a antique store,
The mirror made me look really tall, thought green stamp book was funny to see, I used to loom beads like that.
very expensive, but beautiful things to look at. The place was huge, I took quite the a ray of pictures. Love all the glass wear. I almost bought the 2 items below, and a few other things.
Then we went to a thrift store that benefited children with cancer. The ladies welcome us all when we walked in together, she saw Cindy's switch it up T-shirt. She commented on it, and the two of us told her all about switch it up, and the fun we have together.

I was the one who shopped the longest, both stores. They all were finished before I was. I need alot of time to decide. LOL

Headed home to the campground and Cindy remembered to tell me that Mary apparently had a seizure, Jack was with her at the hospital. And they probably would go home early tomorrow. It was shocking news.

Then we got home. Got ready and went up to the Pavilion for our shrimp boil with Chef Steve. What a spread he put out.
20 ears corn, 5 lbs smoked sausage, 10 lbs potatoes, 20 lbs 21/25 shrimp, 5 lemons, with 3 lbs onions, and 5 heads garlic, 2 small boxes Old Bay. There was so much left a lot of us took some extras home.
As the labels say, enlarged to show details.
Kelly also brought the rest of her ribs, and they were still some of those left over. We had another dumb cake again, salad and someone brought a huge tub of ice cream.
Mary and Jack did attend and were able to eat with us. She is better but going home to her Doctor's in Virginia tomorrow.
When the meal was over we packed everything up and headed back to Steve's camper for another LP fire.
We all sat and talked till about 9:30 till the bugs come out to party.
