Our youngest granddaughter is 10 this weekend.  Happy birthday Mia.

Today Jim came downstairs early. I woke just before 8. We had some coffee and I said we should go for a walk through the jungle now,  before it gets to hot out. He said we're still drinking coffee I said we can finish when we get back. I said we just can't sit around waiting to eat, LOL. I started getting ready, he said OH your serious. I said yes so we left just after 9 a.m.. walked up to the beginning of the path through the jungle. Came back out near Marsha and Jeff's truck camper. They were leaving this morning, we talked more about our Berkey, we went over and say goodbye to them. Made plans to go to the Strawberry Fest together on March 6th. Then we went back in the jungle,  we walked the outskirts of the park. Came out at the other end close to our FW. 

When we got home we were so hot, he took off his shirt, opened up the golf cart. He made toast while I made bacon and eggs for egg sandwiches for breakfast, had a fresh fruit salad with banana, blueberries, strawberries,orange and a peach cup. More coffee, Then I put the sheets in the washer. 

After I worked on the Blog. He changed the key pad then put more mail away, printed insurance cards. 

I finished washing and drying sheets then I made the bed. Washed hand towels and my lap blanket too.

Jim took the golf cart up to get a package, our Berkey water filters are supposed to be here today. 

We got the filters changed and put water in. Funny sound hearing it drip. Later we filled it to full, as Marcia warned us not to, I heard it dripping,  with a  weird sound. Water all over the counter. Ran toward sink not on floor, so wasn't to bad. I just cleaned the coffee pot yesterday, I put Berkey water it for tomorrow, Hope pot likes it, lol. 

We took a golf cart ride funny some of the things you see.

 We picked up the rest of the wood Glenn had  left he said Jim could have it. 

There MH, they are leaving tomorrow.

We ate more Minastrone soup, then  I made chicken cassadee's with onions and peppers black beans and corn. 

Today was like a slow news day, Not alot to do around here, just real life chores. I wanted to go in the pool today, was either took hot and sunny for me, then before I new it was to late. 

Then we took trash out. Came back I took the shower curtain out to the picnic table to scrub it. Then cleaned out the back seat of the truck getting rid of more water jugs and coats Jim put extra one's in the trunk. Then I scrubbed the plastic part on the golf cart cover.  By then was pretty dark out. We watched one episode of Stranger things then both went to bed early about 10 pm.

I was up today first. Started the coffee. We had breakfast after 10am.

Then I made this huge pot of Minastrone soup in the Instant pot. 

We each had a bowl. Then I texted Marcia and we took a bowl over for them. We stopped for mail, but forgot we needed ID and 5 bucks. So we went to get it, ended up talking to people on our row from PA. We know Glenn and Carla they have a MH. Then we went back got the mail and finished our ride. 

After we had a ton of mail to go through. Yay we finally received our Switch it up flag and Bingo card. We also got our new key pad replacement cover. Also alot of junk mail, great. Now my table is a mess again.

Home Sweet Home

Later we ate our second meal turkey spinach meatloaf for 2 I made. With all the great veggies Jim grilled.

Glenn texted Jim to invite us over for a campfire, they had alittle wood they said someone left, they wanted to use it up. We put our chairs and an end table, got our drinks ready  put them on the golf cart and went over just before 7. It was a nice visit we don't ever get to talk long in PA with working, there just isn't enough time. Had a nice visit left just after 9. Went fast. Watched alittle TV before bed.

Today we tried something different in our AM routine, we are going to try doing 2 meals a day. We had breakfast at 10 am. Mine was closer to 11. Then we are going to have second meal, we are going to call Lundin pronounce London, AKA Lunch and Dinner.. That will be between 4 and 5 p.m. and then we will not eat again until 10 next morning. Steve and Katrina are doing it,, sounds like a good idea. One I'm getting tired of thinking of three meals a day, and two the biggest we don't need to eat three big meals a day, with all our R & R.

So we left for another boring trip to Walmart. We were looking for a water filter for the Berkey. We had a choice of the OEM Berkey filter at about 170, or another one called Aquacrest for less than half the price. Walmart didn't have any but so Jim will have to order online. 

I asked Marcia if they needed anything, she said no but then later asked us to get a little contraption for mosquito repellent. After we got a few groceries we headed back to the RV put everything away.

We had our Lundin and was finished before 5.

Then I cooked a few things for tomorrow, I put 5 ears of corn in the IP and made a 2 serving size turkey spinach meatloaf.

Then we got ready to go over to Marcia and Jeff.  Jim put fire wood in the golf cart. They are full-time RVers that we met at the Escapees Bash in Arizona a couple years ago oh, we stayed in touch it's amazing how often we see each other. They have a new RV a truck camper they wanted to downsize for a few years, to go to places they were not able to with their big fifth wheel. We Got The Grand Tour, did not even feel like a truck camper on the inside,  they made some great modifications. We had a fire a great visit and headed home a little after 8 p.m.

Also wanted to say last night, forgot to mention we called and talked with Thomas Kerri and Sarah over an hour. Was wonderful hearing his voice. It was so special and a great way to end today.

We watched another show. Jim went to bed. I continued to read a book, I had started earlier in the day, Katrina gave me, her neighbor wrote called The Biography of Linda, how she grew up in China, amazing what she lived through. She is very strong and brave, I wanted to finish it, was late I definitely will tomorrow.

This am we did our morning routine. After we both showered and were ready to leave we watched another episode of Stranger things. 

Then we left at 11:45, to go meet Steve and Katrina at the Jacaranda Hotel for the lunch buffet. They were never there before. 

We had so much fun catching up on the full timing life. We sat out here in the hallway and 

chatted for awhile longer. We said our goodbyes and walked out to together. 

When we headed to Maxwell Grove, we found it accidentally 6 years ago. We wanted oranges, but they were very small and 1.50 to 2.00 each. So we had ice cream instead, don't think they had that before. I had orange Creamsicle they make with their oranges. It was 9 something for 2 small cones. We have been coming almost every year we come to Florida, but this year might be last. Not as impressed this year.

Then we headed to my favorite produce stand. The Main Scoop, with ice cream too. We bought all this for 21.00. They have great BBQ too.

We got home put put everything away. Jim releveled the FW, guess it sinks in the sand.

Then we took a golf cart ride, I was driving and someone had a table with items for sale. They had a Travel Berkey, they retail for over 350. I have been wanting one, didn't want to pay that. I told Jim we could get rid of the 13 jugs in the truck. He liked that idea, we really would free up all our free time, not going to get water, and soda now anymore. She had 125.00 or OBO, SO we went back to FW, Jim went in to get his wallet. We offered 100. She agreed now we have to order the filters for it. YEAH so cool. She said she left on counter for travel day, I leave alot out, but that makes me nervous, think it will ride in sink.

Then we saw the food truck was open. 5 piggies BBQ. 

They lady we just bought the Berkey from was there too. So Jim got this crazy burger with pork on it. OMG hon. We went back to the RV and saw a beautiful sunset on the way. 

What a GREAT fun fun day.

Jim was up first today. We watched news while we enjoyed our coffee. Later we had breakfast then Jim went outside and spent most the day out there. Was the 3 HHH, Hazey, Hot and Humid day as they say. He loves that, me not so much. He finished the rest of the work outside he wanted to get done. Jim does a great job setting up our beautiful outdoor living space. 

We didn't go anywhere today. Yesterday was such a busy day, we just needed to chill today, especially Jim. 

Everytime I looked out he was talking to someone else. Our neighbor guy on the living side, came over 3 different times though out the day to talk to him. 

Amy and Carl stopped and they talked awhile.

He grilled chicken later. I was inside watching my shows I like, that he doesn't, cooked a little and crocheting some. 

Steve texted Jim today we planned a get together for tomorrow.

Later we took a golf cart ride and Marcia and Jeff messaged us when we left. They are here too, taking a walk around the park. We finally found them chatted for a bit. They leave Sunday,  we will plan a get today soon.  We headed home by then we needed to turn the golf cart lights on. 

We watched Stranger Things again. And a really cool Switch It Up video, with Todd and Sheila they had tickets for a boat show, not just any boat show. They had mega Yachts, there was one they showed was selling for 8.8 million. Really something to see, a whole different world, and way of life. 

Till that was over was really late. I stayed up even longer.

I was up first this AM, we had coffee and breakfast. Then got ready to head to Wal-Mart early for a few things. 

We returned home to the RV we had leftovers for lunch. 

Jim went out and started packing up taking the  golf cart apart Etc, while I was  inside, with not nearly as much to do as he had. He started watching hockey outside as he worked. And together we washed the RV and the truck, as they were both full of pollen and dust. 

After we finished I served Jim a taco style dinner salad with grilled chicken outside. He had the TV paused while we washed the vehicles. He finished up into early evening,  I finished the inside. Then we watched a few more of our new show, stranger things before bed.

Tuesday February 22

Jim really wanted to leave this am at 9 am.

He had the alarm set for 7 am,  I was up way before that, just for the record. We had coffee to start our busy day, he had baked pumpkin chocolate chip oatmeal for breakfast, then went outside to prepare for travel day. I worked inside. 

Today we have an appointment to go to General RV in Ocala to have our slide situation assess to find a plan of action to move forward. We left 2 minutes after 9, and arrives at General RV at 10 12 a.m. we waited almost 15 minutes, this sign was inside the door, still to be determined. 

Then  our service advisor Kevin called us over to his desk. We chatted about our situation and then we went out to take a look at it. 

So till  it was all said and done Kevin was there and he called out the service manager Chad another manager of the department also came out I forget her name. Even one of the workers that would probably actually be doing the work was also there. 

We put the slide partially out so they could see where a lot of our issues were. We were there for good two and a half hours. I made wraps, so we ate those for lunch and I we were on our way to Wauchula, Peace River Thousand Trails.

 We arrive there just after 3:30 ish checked in and arrived at our site. It was a bugger to back into, but Jim does a great job. The people cross the road even moved their vehicle to make it easier, they were very nice, thank you Susan. Jim worked on getting the golf cart back out it was very warm today about 87 degrees. So Jim finally listened to me and took it easy and saved some of the work for tomorrow morning. 

Then we both took a shower I went first. Then we had the grilled turkey burgers from the other day that he pre-made for dinner. Jim wash the dishes while I did the stupid blog and he had the hockey on for a while, although they are doing very poorly, as he says, like usual. We relaxed the rest of the evening and watched another one of our favorite shows.

This am I was up just after 7:30, I turned the coffee pot on and watched the news with the ear buds in, so he couldn't hear me and I could be stealth,  I washed a few dishes left, since he couldn't hear. Because it was 64 degrees downstairs when I got up. We only had the little heater on upstairs last night. Then I put the heat pump on and the gas furnace comes on too when it's that cold.

Jim didn't get up for almost another hour and half. He had his coffee and we had breakfast. I worked on the Blog for almost 2 hours. 

Jim waited in the flyers buggy, as our youngest granddaughter calls it. I went to take another pic of this guy.

Then we took a golf cart ride around both sides of the campground. When we got home I washed my hair and took a shower. Jim dumped both black tanks I filled them up for a little rince then he dumped the grays. 

We watched some of the Brazen Brits YouTube videos, then was 4:30ish. He grilled 4 chicken sausage with broccoli Rob and cheese from PA, Bell and Evans we like it so much we bring a few packs in the freezer. He also grilled 2 turkey burgers and a pack chicken thighs. All Enough for about 7 upcoming meals.

I made a pumpkin baked oatmeal. Made vegetables and a little cornbread stuffing to go with the chicken for dinner. After dinner we took a walk around this side of the campground and took the trash out with us. When we returned Jim washed the dishes. Seams like every time I was washing dishes a stink bug, buzzes your head, so Jim had the pleasure of that tonight when he washed them. Can't believe we still get them coming out every day when we're here in warm weather.

The rest of the evening we watched more Stranger Things.

This morning we woke up early to go to Clermont to  the Lakeridge winery next to Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort, there was a planned get together with a large group of RV YouTubers.

 I packed up when I thought we would need and we left around 10:30 a.m. we stopped at Publix at a water kiosk and filled up our water jugs first. Because we were a little early. 

 We never went into the winery before, and we are here all the time next door at the CG. it's just not really our thing. But it was a beautiful place to have a Meetup. 

The day started out chilly, especially in the shade, but ended up beautiful out mid 70s till we left after 2:30. 

Of course we got to see Todd and Sheila, our favorite from Switch it up. Who we will see again in Texas for there Huddle. 

We also got to meet who I really love is the Brazen Brits . Natalie and Lawrence 

 I love to listen to them talk , they're so fun to hang out with.

The lady above in gray to the very right, I exercised with in TTO and I told her about Switch It Up and she loved them too and came to today's event. She came over to say Hi, thanks for coming.

 We also got to meet Liz and Paul which we met him  in Wauchula when he was walking to the bathhouse. They are from Liz amazing.  

Cheese and Nancy are on left, Liz and Paul are next both next to me.

We met traveling nurses. There Chanel is Nursing Our Travel Bug. Yes he is Tall.

   Look more Cheese. I actually got Cheese to help me sing the theme song for Switch It Up with a small group of us. SOoo FUN.

We also got to see again Cindy and Billy Smith that we meet because they had there Switch It Up flag out, we are still waiting for ours in the mail.

There were so many we got to see. We actually had a late lunch there. Jim had yellow rice shrimp and veggies, and he said look I'm eating my  veggies. I just had a plain veggie bowl and stole three of the shrimp. Really good. 

We also got to see Cheese and Nancy, pictured above, again here we are together. We actually parked right next to them like we did the first time we met.

We left like I said after 2:30 we headed home but stopped at overlook. 

Beautiful drive back Lake Apopka was full of colorful sail boats. Was Hard to see.

Once we got back we rested ate some leftovers from the freezer for dinner and watched Stranger Thing, we just started the series. Went to bed late after watching two episodes.

Was a warm night, AC was on day and night 

I was up late today, but Jim got up an hour after I did, really late. I was almost finished with my coffee till he came down. I started making breakfast right way.

I worked on the Blog for awhile. I finished around noon. Jim put on the grill he made burgers for lunch.

Then he sat inside, while I did some little things inside for a few hours. As we planned the rest of our day. I made a few phone calls.

Then we put on our swimming suits and took a golf cart ride on both sides of the road. Then we went into the pool. I had my mask on in the golf cart and like an idiot I forgot to take it off before I went in the pool. I started talking to a lady in the pool, she was from NJ. Jim only went in the hot tub. He showered first. Then I got out and showered too. We drove home. Put the pool clothes in the washer.

We got a few new neighbors while we were gone. I said the electric was off. He went out and looked someone had turned our breaker off. Not sure what's up with that. Two sites share a pedestal for each with 2, 50 amp breakers on each. They must not have noticed that and turned ours off.

Then Jim put grill on again to make some salmon. I made macaroni and cheese, hush puppies and veggies for dinner.

I look out he is talking with people from Palmyra, that is how salmon gets over cooked, I went out to say Hi too, so it was ok.

After I washed the dishes we took a walk around this side of the CG, as was almost dark by then. 

Then he put stuff away outside. I called and talked with my brother Drew for awhile. Really cold in upstate Pa.

Then I did another load of clothes. We watched TV and more blogging before bed. Big fun day tomorrow.

Jim was up first, we did am routine quicker than usual, I wanted to go across the road to the Thursday Flea market. It is huge, inside and outside vendors. It is only open 9 to noon today. Jim Talked with  2 guys that were at a booth for Old Mill Stream RV Resort 55 plus community.

I was surprised how many things I found. I wanted more produce than I bought, but to  much to carry back. I wanted to bring golf cart. But he didn't want to, worried about parking it, I don't know he is always worried about something, funny but we both worry, but about very different things. 

Was fun 2 guys walking around one playing a banjo, they had me join in on the fun. Reminded me of my Uncle. Who played. 

I found drain covers for kitchen sink, and 2 small for 2 bathroom sinks. Blue baby yarn, 3 belts to use for purse handles that I make, necklace,  blueberries and tomatos, rubber bands, cleaning cloths I first found 2 years ago when I was with Terri from Los Vegas,  we shared a 3 pack, now have 3 more. Also was same lady really great, called Holly Moly.

Then we walked back to RV around 1130, Jim was pooped.

We chilled I ate the last of my butternut squash soup. Then I took the golf cart over for the lunch they were serving from noon to 1pm. Cheese steak sandwiches and FF with dessert. Really busy. Only 4 dollars for this meal for him. 

This is Amy and Carl, from PA, we see each other alot as we travel, they  only are a few sites away from us.

So because the pollen is really bad and bothers me so much, I decided to wear a mask outside again today to see if it helps. 

After he ate, we chatted about what to do the rest of the day. So we headed out. First we went past a Dollar General store. I said  "pull in " quick enough for him to actually do it. Wanted TP,  cheaper here. Dawn, Magic eraser sheets, some fruit juice want to make my Mother's recipe for " Peggy's " party punch. Pineapple, cranberry, lemon juice sugar:(  and need ginger ale yet.. He waited in the truck. 

Jim found the store we have been looking for since we arrived here. South side mini mall thrift store. Was a little further up the road past where I got my nails done. We went in there looked around for awhile. Only found a plant holder to put my new little fern in outside so it won't blow away. Hope I can keep it alive. This was for sale, they had a couple of them, really cool, my brother could make me one if I had a place to put it.

Then we went to Old Mill Stream RV Resort to get a tour. Was fun had a great guide. It's a gated park in Umatilla. Some pictures I took. Is Beautiful place very clean. I won't go into details on it. But it's nice.

Then we got home came inside forgot all the stuff I had in the truck, Jim went out an got everything, sweet man. 

We chilled a bit. Always having to figure out what is for dinner, but here I have to figure out breakfast, lunch and  Dinner. OH my. I would like to just do two meals a day, don't think Jim would GO for that.

I made him something with beef. And I ate salad with chicken. I washed dishes, he went outside to watch hockey for the rest of the evening. Yeah of course they Lost again. I  chilled out in quite. Went to bed 1030 before he came in.
