Today's high temperature was 85 degrees
Well now we seem to be in a different morning routine, we are both getting up at the same time, still very early, before daylight. We were up just after 6 am.
We did our normal boring morning routine, coffee news and weather, and relaxing, we are definitely experts at that.
Before we left for the day I wanted to call General RV, to see if they were able to set up an appointment to have our major slide repair work done. I called and had to talk to somebody else and explain the whole thing over again. We did end up setting an appointment for the day we leave here at Southern Palms, February 22, on our way to Wauchula, Peace River Thousand Trails. We will go to General RV in Ocala, and have it looked at, and then head to Peace River. Will be a long driving day. Then we will have to schedule when we can bring it in for the major repairs to be done. I also asked if we can stay in the rig at night. He made it sound like we can work something out. I said we can be gone all day and then just come back when they shut down for the night. We can keep an eye on the progress too.. So glad are extended warranty will be involved in this major project.
Jim texted Lance his former boss , to see if they wanted to join us for lunch in Spanish Springs, The Villages . Then we got ready, later he texted, what time. We plan to meet him around noon. Crystal his wife was working at her new part-time job in The Villages, at a golf cart sales office. We parked the truck in the Publix parking lot, it has the most room to park it.
Then we did a little walk towards the shops and restaurants there. We were going to go to World of Beer, they have really good food. Lance saw us coming out of a store in the golf cart, he pulled up as we walked out and offered us a ride around the area.
His golf cart is huge compared to ours. Jim said sit in the front, so I didn't have to be in the sun, sweet man. Photo opp.
It was a lot of fun, he goes quite fast, a little scary when cars are whizzing by you. I like it better when we're on separated golf cart roads. Then we decided where we would go eat.
We ended up eating Alfresco at Johnny Rockets. Both the guys had Burger Ruben's, I had a salad with a scoop of tuna. We had a lovely chat, he has to have knee surgery very soon, but he seems very very happy right now, I call it giddy.
After lunch we had another ride back to Spanish Springs. We took a little walk to get back to the truck.
Then we headed to Sam's Club, it is very close by. We like to plan fun with real life chores, to save time and fuel, since we were close by. We needed some things, SO why not, Jim's favorite shopping, LOL.
Jim found two kinds of beer, and a case of the variety pack of Chi-Chi's fancy mixed drinks that we really like. We'll get to try a few new flavors. Jim is getting really tired at the end walking around, that's when his pain starts to flare up. The store was way busier on a Friday afternoon than we anticipated. We ended up with a pretty big Hall. The only thing not in the picture was the booze and two huge containers of coffee.
Then we headed back home. Put everything away. That took awhile.
Later Jim grilled some Tuna Steaks, I made him some yellow rice in the instant pot.
We watched TV before bed. OK we always DO that.
