Pre Huddle Fun, @ The Ridge in Tennessee

Today Jim was up first, and he made me get up around 7:00 a.m. we had coffee and started getting ready, said  goodbye to our neighbors, Barb and Dean and we pulled out about 8:45. 

We drove a couple hours and had our first break and I grabbed lunch out of the fridge and put it in the truck. We drove another hour and a half or so I ate lunch in the truck on the way. He went through Georgia and then into Tennessee,  then we got into heavier traffic as we arrived into the Sevierville area.

We checked in, what a huge cool building, 

and we were now in site 72, we thought it was 71. We had a pull through we got situated. Jim did his work outside I went inside. It was nice to be back to having both air conditioners on again as the highs got to be probably at least 78. Once we got set up we realized Billy and Cindy were just across the way, Sean and Rhonda also from Texas with their new FW, we're just behind us a few sites away.

Jim looked at the map cuz the site in front of us was empty. He said the names of the people. And said they had an HDT, right when Jim got in the shower they were pulling in. I told him here comes the HDT.

I was so excited. 

 So I went out as they were pulling in she went  in the back to help him back up. And I told her I can't wait to talk because I want an HDT. Mentioned the rally I want to go to in kansas, and it just so happens they're going too. It was meant to be.

 After Jim had the golf cart ready we took a ride over to Billy and Cindy. Got to meet her mother Marie. She's 99. Jim put her in the golf cart to try to get her in shade, and he took her for a ride around. 

The potluck was supposed to be there but we decided to find a place with more shade, so Sheila said we were going to meet up at the building outside by the fire rings. So we all relocated up there we had this great table with food. Tons of desserts

We had a great time starting to see so many people we know. It's going to be a fantastic week.

After we were finished eating I chatted with our neighbors in the HDT Terri and Nate.

Then we got in the golf cart took a little ride before it got to dark, saw this beautiful sunset. Every time we had a different angle of it,  it was even better. 

Then we saw Rhonda and Sean at their friends Airstream. We stopped and said hi, and then they showed us their new fifth wheel toy hauler, it is a super cool toy hauler with all open space.

We came home, as it was starting to get cold out, especially riding in the golf cart. Jim went over to Billy, they had an LP fire going. He got home about 10:30. We went to bed....
