3 Sister's and 2 Brits

3 Sister's and 2 Brits

December 18, 2022

Jim wrote the title of today's blog. Let me explain.

This morning we were up early and got ready for an adventure, a fun day we were so looking forward to.

We left around 9:30 a.m. and headed to Crystal River, Three Sisters Springs. It's been really cold this week and we knew the manatees would be coming in to keep warm in the spring, so we headed over there. Parked the truck at the visitor center. Went in and registered and the bus picked us up, and we headed to Three Sisters.
This was a painting in the gift shop.
Here's some pictures of the manatees. We couldn't get over how you could hear them breathing. They would stick their head out of the water, take a quick breath and back under again. They were a lot more active than we expected and there was a lot of splashing going on. We got so close to them. Here's a few more pictures.
Later we plan to meet the Brazen Brits, Laurence and Natalie at 2:00 at a restaurant called Norton's. They were doing a LIVE YouTube video at there house at noon before they left.

By now it was way after 12:00. And we thought we might be starving by 2:00, so we just wanted a drink and  little snack. Wanted to be able to talk with them and not worry so much about being starving. So we found this little coffee shop, called KC Wine and Koffee Bar. We also wanted a quite place to watch the Brits LIVE video.
I could either hold it up and hear it, or watch the video. Not both.
We went in, such a lovely little place, there was only one or two people at the bar. Till we left every table was full. We had a drink and Jim and I shared a chicken taco, we each had one, he got some onion rings. I only had two and, I also asked for grilled zucchini and onions, it was supposed to be a wrap but I just wanted veggies, it was fantastic. Almost as soon as we sat four people came in and there was a gecko inside the window where they were sitting. The guy caught it and I helped him get it out the door. They took a picture but I never got one.

We really enjoyed it, and are waitress was fantastic and very personable. Then we headed out walked around the little town took a picture of this beautiful Christmas tree with Santa outside talking with people and taking photographs.
Then we went into a gift shop that was very manatees inspired.  They had the wetsuits in the back that you could go in the water with the manatees. I found a couple little trinkets for Mia.  Then we headed out walked around a little more. We went back to the truck dropped off our stuff and got some more water.
Passed a cool mural, and  Jim couldn't resist a picture at this fountain.
Then we headed over towards Norton's to meet Laurence and Natalie. What a wonderful visit we had. They were a lot of fun we had a good time hanging out.
They Have a Doberman Opie, Jim was telling him his Dobie story, of when his one childhood dog took a cops gun. It's a good story if you never heard it.

Norton's was really busy, because there was a football game going on a lot of people were watching. Especially inside, luckily we sat outside.
We hung out for a couple hours and then said our goodbyes. Talked of getting together soon at their house.

After we left Jim and I walked around a little more.
I know it was early evening and we decided to head towards home. I did run into a CVS quick to get a mascara. And then we went into Dollar General and wanted TP and paper plates Etc. We got home had a light dinner, small quesadillas,  and settled in for the night. We watched the new show, 1983, Was really fun but tiring day.

Moving Day to 3 Flags, Wildwood Florida

Moving Day to 3 Flags, Wildwood, Florida

Tuesday December 13, 2022

Today was moving day from TTO Orlando, to 3 Flags Thousand Trails,  Wildwood Florida. I had almost everything packed up, that is my job and I went over to walk fit, did one last time and say goodbye to everyone for 3 weeks. Sadly they were going to line dance without me after walk fit today.
Got back just after 10:00 we finished packing up and pulled out about 10:45 a.m..it is a short drive to 3 Flags.  We arrived, got checked in and I helped Jim get backed in.
We have a really cool site with a big pasture behind us full of cows.
We got situated I made some lunch. Jim works like crazy setting everything up. Golf cart and all. Later we took a ride and talked with a lady who had a lift on her motorhome.
We thought it would be great for his mom then she could get in ours. She said it was her husband's, he was in the hospital right now he had a heart attack. She said he weighed 400 pounds, but he used to weigh 600. We chatted for quite a while and she showed us how it worked. It was very nice of her I think she enjoyed having someone to talk to for a few minutes. Somebody was coming to move the motorhome into storage tomorrow for her.

Later early in the evening Cindy and Bill Turner stopped and said hi. Found out they got their house. They just bought, they invited us to come over and see it soon. We said goodbye when the mosquitoes we're getting bad.
Later we had dinner and relax the rest of the night.

Wednesday December 14, 2022

I still have been getting up early lately,  right before sunrise. After Jim gets up we have breakfast together and drink our coffee. I got ready and went up to the activity room to do my walk fit. I just used my phone did it all by myself. Then I went back and I washed the windows outside as they were pretty dirty.
Jim set up the drums and played outside for quite a while. Later we took a golf cart ride. Travis had texted so we talked to him later. And I cooked dinner then we watched a movie later. No pictures today.

 Thursday December 15, 2022

This morning again I went up for walk fit. Do all by myself.
Here's a picture of the Christmas tree up here .
Sometimes I come back and Jim will go for a walk around the campground with me too. But he's not up to it everyday. We had lunch we took a shower, we did some RV stuff. Later I made Seafood ravioli for dinner.

Not much going on.

 Friday December 16, 2022

Today I went up to walk fit came home and showered.
Then we went to Sam's Club found a few things, also stopped at Walmart and went to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch. Love the salad bar.
I love the map of the US behind his head. Tried to get a better picture of it, but red light was in the way.

Walked around the Villages saw this really cool 1956 Nash, it was for sale it said 18,500. Thought it would be more.
This was a really cool golf cart.

Later Jim was texting with Laurence, we wanted to go see the manatees, as it was soon going to be getting cold. They were predicting freezing temperatures on the way. And that's when they come in to get warm. We made plans to get together with them on Sunday the 18th. They are the Brazen Brits of YouTube fame. We will have lunch together, so looking forward to it.

Saturday December 17, 2022

We had a nice relaxing morning drinking our coffee and had breakfast together. Was nice not to have to get up and go somewhere right away. I called and talked to both my brothers David and Drew this morning. We had a nice chat planning more about when we spend part of the summer up there. They have 90 Acres of Mountain Land in Northern Pennsylvania. We also talked about using their Class C motorhome. And maybe taking it on a few trips and maybe being able to get his mother in and take her along.
We love to go to Rochester New York and see Sue and Tony Costanza. Jim wanted to go to Niagara Falls. And there's a Huddle in Michigan August 4th,  that  week is my MIL's  birthday, and we'd love to be able to take her if she's up to it.
After our long talk we took a golf cart ride later in the day. Talked to some people, they were doing work outside. Leslie and AJ had a nice chat with them. He is an avid fisherman, and does a lot of competitions.

When we got back we dumped our tanks.
Later I started cooking I made quinoa and cauliflower rice with veggies. I also made lasagna soup did the blog.
Jim was sitting outside while I did that. And a couple nights in a row we've seen this small calf go through the fence and would eat grass just on the other side of the fence. Until his mom was yelling at him, making the weirdest sounding moo. Then she'd start walking away, and he got panicky and he would jump through the fence and they would take off. What a smart calf this was.
As soon as he jumped through the fence they stopped to nurse before they moved on.
Jim was watching him. And I told him what he was about to do. It was fun to watch.
My primrose are blooming.
Later we had dinner and we are excited about our big plans for tomorrow.

Last week of 3 at TTO in Orlando

Last week of 3 at TTO in Orlando

 Thursday December 8, 2022

Today after breakfast I went over to do walk fit. We are doing it outside all this week. They needed the ballroom to decorate and have some staff meetings.
After I walked,  I go over to the produce guy. This is what I got.
Turned out I cut the watermelon and it was mushy, I told Jim I was going to go back and tell the guy. He said he's not going to do anything. Always negative. So I walked over and told him. He said bring it back. So I came back and got it, took it over in the golf cart. He said he would just give me my money back., I thought he would give me another one. But he said when he cut the sample one he noticed it was a little soft, but not as bad as the one I had. So that was nice of him, and at that point I didn't feel like cutting another watermelon again anyway. Then Jim and I went for a little walk ourselves. Then we took a golf cart ride.
Here's a picture of cranes that we saw on our golf cart ride, they're so fun to watch. I never get sick of seeing them.
Laurence of the BrazenBrits told Jim to look up the Wayward Wags. We never did get to see them. But this time we drove by, and Jim yelled Hi then he
named dropped and said Laurence told us to look you up. That got their attention. I had left our card one time we stopped. They did text us too. It never worked out..
Then we stopped over and said hi to Bonnie here's a picture of her motorhome.
Not sure what day it was, but at one point we stopped and had a visit and she insisted we stay for dinner. We had a lovely time with Andre and Francois, and they invited Peter and his mother, Connie over for dinner also. They are full timing together as she has early onset dementia.

Friday December 9, 2022

After breakfast and after I did walk fit
I got home and showered did a lot of this blog. And then Jim actually went to Lowe's and Walmart on his own. He had a small list of things. I encouraged him to go to Burger King for lunch, and I had a much-needed break and some me time. He was gone a few hours. But it went so fast.
Wrong pic of walk fit below, this is from the 12th when we were back inside.
Later Neil and Nancy had stopped, we made plans to get together tomorrow morning for breakfast in the campground restaurant.
Later we took a golf cart ride. And we saw Tammy and Doug from Canada again they were also at the Talona Ridge Huddle in Georgia with Switch It Up. We had a nice visit with them before we headed home.
Then we had dinner together and Jim went outside and had a fire.

Saturday December 10, 2022

We got ready this morning and went over to meet Neil and Nancy for breakfast. I ate my usual oatmeal
before we left.
They ate breakfast while we chatted. I went and said hi to Chef Carlos. And got a quick picture of the kitchen.
Then we walked around as a Christmas craft show that's happening today. These were outside vendors coming into the park to set up. Before I knew it they were bringing some horses and a pony in. And I had to make the big decision of whether I wanted to work today or not. Decided to sell my glitter tattoos next to the pony rides. Figured I'd have a lot of traffic with the kids there plus I got to hang out with the horses.
Did quite well today,  there's a picture of a few of my customers.
These two little girls are so cute they each got two tattoos.
Then these two ladies became fast RV friends in one month they told me. And the one bought the other one a glitter tattoo for her birthday. They wanted to surprise their husbands because they were just talking about getting real tattoos all four of them the other night, so they thought this would be hilarious. We had a good laugh together and I said I wish I was there when you Reveal Your joke.
Later I got invited to do a Christmas craft show welcoming Santa. It was up the road only a few miles away across from the library in Orlando. So I decided to go. They did charge us $30 to set up. Here's a few pictures from the day we were there from 4:30 to 7:30.
Jim was my money guy did really well. Turned out to be a lot of fun.
The only bad thing was Jim spent way too much money on a crab cake sandwich from a food truck. That didn't even look good enough for me to take a bite. But he was starving. What a great day it was,  made a few bucks. Haven't worked that hard in months.

Sunday December 11, 2022

Jim's former boss Lance Lightnger called a few days ago and invited us to join them for lunch and go to a farmers market Sunday afternoon in Mineola.
We met them there late morning. And as we were walking in to find them. We saw this guy training a huge dog off in the distance. It was fun to watch for a minute for me.
As we were looking for them we walked past this CBC Clermont Brewing Company and there was a little family going in side . I said hi to them and asked if there was a restaurant in there . They said there was and it was so so good . Then we met Lance and Crystal we had a lot of fun walking around. At one point the guys sat down and talked , while Crystal and I walked around .
This was cool called Quilling. New craft might check into.
We found this amazing stand that was selling micro greens that were grown hydroponic. They give you a taste and they were so amazing. They have one that tasted like cantaloupe, which later I put in a smoothie or top on a fruit salad, they also had some that tasted like really strong radishes, which Jim loves and also onion flavor, that was great in soups and salads. Then I also bought mixed greens, spent $20 there.
They said they would last for almost 2 weeks. But we ate them pretty quickly it turned out. Definitely want to buy them again.
These boats etc,  was made of this old barn. Really cool.
It was a little hard for Lance because he had a lot of pain, he was having back surgery soon. We told them about the CBC. They said they never have been so we tried it out and it turned out the little family was right it was fantastic.
We had a great visit together.
great pizza oven and all the smoked meat
And the two of them took off, Jim and I did another lap all around the little town. We even walked over to Lily on the Lake found out it was closed because of the recent storm.
There was a lot of cute restaurants along here that we're still open. They were a little farther from the water line they had live music playing was so fun and festive.
As we were walking around I seen the dog that the guy was training earlier. We got to officially meet him I think he said he was about 150 lb dog and his breed was called Presa Canario, his name was Maximus. That Sure Fit him.
After we got home I made us a light dinner here's some pictures of some things I made using the greens.
We took a golf cart ride and saw a few cool night time photos.
Later Sunday night was live with Todd and Sheila. I listen to it on YouTube while Jim watch hockey. We will watch it again later together.

 Monday December 12th

Happy Monday I did morning walk fit and line dance afterwards. Not too much going on today.
Tomorrow is moving day to 3 Flags in Wildwood.
