Leaving 3 Flags TT, to Peace River TT

Leaving 3 Flags TT, to Peace River TT

Sunday November 5, 2023

This morning, had to deal with the time change from daylight savings time. A few days ago was a time zone change. So confusing....
We left just after 9:00 a.m. I think, lol. We traveled almost 3 hours to Peace River TT for two nights. On our way to the Keys.
It was a pretty uneventful travel day.
As we got closer to Clermont area a Jeep pulled up next to us. To our surprise it was Kathy and Timmy as they are in TTO now.
We briefly talked at two Red Lights. She knew we were on our way to the Keys. Looking forward to seeing them soon.
We checked in, you have to drive around and find a site. We are used to that, but half the park is still closed, from last year's hurricane.
So weird when you check into 3 Flags,  they know what's available and can point you to a couple different site options, ultimately it's your choice. Not here.
Once we found a spot we got set up.
An older gentleman in his pickup pulled up behind us and suggested we plug in right away before we unhook and make sure the electric works. I guess it can be kind of wonky here.
We ate lunch when we arrived.
Later in the evening I walked up to the porch and sat on a swing.
There was a Mary Kay Consultant here.
Wish I could have talked to her.
Remembering at the last minute there was a no BS live call on I listen to, before walking home and prepping dinner.

Happy  Birthday Monday to our youngest son Travis today.

Monday November 6, 2023

It definitely was nice to wake up this morning and not have to pack up to move. Watched the weather, looks like it will be a great week.
After we enjoyed our coffee and a leisurely breakfast, and lunch later.
We went to the local hardware store for some screws for the nose of the camper, and got fuel, then went to Walmart.
Once we got home later in the day we went for a walk around the park. The bottom sites close to the river are empty.
They are putting in all new electric, and upgrading to 50 amp.
They're all going to be elevated for when it floods down here.
Later Jim grilled chicken and zucchini and we prepared to move again tomorrow.
We will be in the Keys for 2 weeks and that will be our longest time without moving since Maine. Looking forward to that.
We had great night and enjoyed the sunset.
Tomorrow will be a long but exciting travel day, to Fiesta keys.
