Walk, Dog rescue, Visit

Walk, Dog Rescue, Visit

Tuesday December 5, 2023
This morning after our late breakfast I decided to go for a walk. Jim wasn't up to it so, I walked through the jungle. Because it was hotter and sunny outside, than I thought it was. It has been pretty cool most mornings, but warms up quickly. We had a couple nights it was into the higher 40s and definitely needed the heat pump on overnight.
There were two people on kayaks pulled over on the bank. They were sifting through looking for shark teeth. It's a big thing in Peace River. But ITS Not our thing, lol.
On the way back I checked the Activity Board. And I saw some people trying to catch two little white dogs that were loose. A guy on a bicycle came, and they started following him going towards the road. I went to check in the office,  to see if anybody knew anything.
As I was walking over the dogs ran back to a different RV. I went over to the lady in a golf cart, that was also trying to help. She said the back door was open. And a Pug came out, they got him back in and the two little white dogs just ran in and they shut the door behind them. We talked for a minutes, there was quite a few of us involved in the rescue. We didn't want them to get hurt. I told her I could write a note which I did. Felt like they should know their door was open.

Then I got home from the walk, we had lunch together later we went over to visit Ayran and Paul.
Got to see their two Kitty's
Paul put in an apartment size dishwasher in the end of the island,
when they purchase the fifth wheel new a few years ago.
The park was working on upgrading the electric near them this afternoon.
We thought we heard some generators running nearby, on the way over to visit. They said they don't even notice if it shuts off, cuz they have solar power that he installed. Game changer. Every time I think I only want to just get lithium, I hear success stories of others and that makes me want it again. LOL always something.
He said he worked with Harrison, from Enduro batteries. Before they even knew Switch It Up, Harrison is endorsed by Todd and Sheila now.
He opened his compartment and showed us where he installed the inverter and his battery bank.
We had a great visit, there such lovely people, all Switch Crew is.
I realize later I had a message from the people with the two white dogs. She asked me to call her back and I tried, but had to leave a message too.
We got home later can't believe it's dark and now dinner time and we're all settled in. Amazing how fast the day goes, When you're living the dream.

This morning after our usual later morning breakfast. We finally got it together and left to go over to the Escapees park
to talk about staying for a season to do work kamping, maybe in a few years, and or get on the list for a chance at purchasing a permanent lot.  We had a nice chat with Trinity. Even the current maintenance guy chimed in a little.
Since we are Escapee members, she reminded us that all the activities they have here, we are invited to.
The activity share your story sounded fun, but we're leaving the area before. And the breakfast sounded inviting, but I can't see us making it that early. And we already are sky Med members.
Jim went out for a phone call as he was making a reservation for another switch it up campout. The maintenance guy talked to him outside for a while, till I finally went out.

We left and Jim found a cute little Park called Wauchula Peace River Park. It was in a junglish area too, so we weren't out in the full sun. Guess you can also tent camp back in there.
We had a nice hour-long walk. They had a 43 step high viewing Tower.
and we went back to the RV for lunch.
Jim put pigs in the blanket on the Ninja grill outside for lunch. I also made us salads.
After lunch we took a golf cart ride and went past the RV that had the 2 white dogs.
The guy was out installing a small bumper guard to the front of his truck. We walked up and said hi and I explained to him the details of what happened with the white dogs. His name is Guy. He said the ones pregnant. He thanked me, we had a nice chat. His wife Brandi, was out on a walk which we never did get to meet her.
Later he grilled chicken patties on the Ninja for dinner. Before dark, and we finished up the peach dump cake he made the other day outside too.
