Another great BEACH house walk

Another great BEACH house walk

Friday September 1, 2023

This morning after breakfast together. Jim went for a golf cart ride and I worked on some no BS courses for a while.
When he came back, we had lunch together, and tried to plan the rest of our day.
We decided to take a walk up to Moody Beach. We were able to walk up and see the mini golf course at the entrance to 1000 Trails, Moody Beach Campground, with huge sign. They also have a little Racetrack, Maze besides the 2 mini golf course's.
Quite pricey we thought. But always full of people.
Couldn't resist this pup in the window of this MH, he is ready to camp.
We continued to walk up the road and got on to the beach.
The homes along the water were just amazing.
A lot we're having new construction going on. Didn't get any pictures of the front of the houses.
They all had their private beach areas behind the home.
We walked along the water as I enjoyed watching the dogs play, kids in the sand, boats, parasailing, kites, surfboarders Etc. A lot going on it was warm but very breezy as we walked along. We came out along another path and went up to a parking lot. Ogunquit River Head. They had a parking lot where you paid $6 an hour to park. That's why we walked, lol. It also had bathrooms, and we sat and watched people for a while.

Then we took the walk back to the campground.
Walking by some of the most beautiful homes, and beautiful landscaping.
Once we got back to the RV, Jim was pooped. We took a lovely golf cart ride, with no guilt of not getting exercise today and just riding around. Jim said we walked 4.2 miles today, yeah us.

Then we got back and I made dinner. We enjoyed it while we watched a little TV. And I went to bed first as Jim listened to one of his shows again.

Today we didn't go anywhere. Took a nice walk around the campground, later we took a golf cart ride. We saw this sign about custom-made covers. We've been wanting to get something to cover the generator in the bed of the truck, as it's exposed to weather when we tow.
We stopped and said hi, the man says his wife does it,  he went to get her. We chatted for a while talked about our needs. Then I realized I had talked to her in Orlando. She also knows Mary Jo. Her name is Cheryl and she showed me plastic recycle that she crochets, like I do, and makes them into matt's/rugs.
My OCD won't allow me to do all that work,  and then have it on the floor for people to walk on, Nae nae. I think she makes the matt's for the homeless. After we had a nice chat with her we continued our ride. Saw this cool bush with red berry clusters, wonder what it is.
Later after dinner we went back up as they were having music tonight.
We sat and listened in the golf cart for a bit, went home about 8:00. Watch TV.

Today after breakfast and lunch blah blah blah. We decided to run to Lowe's and Walmart. About a half an hour up the road. Didn't leave till 3:30. Wanted to get a big walk in but Jim considers that too late in the day. It was a beautiful hot sunny day, got to about 80 I think.
When he went to start the truck it sounded weird. As we drove he was thinking we never changed the batteries since we've owned the truck, which is about 8 years now.
So we got to Walmart I said let's park in the middle and only start it once.

Went into Lowe's mainly a lot of things we wanted to look at,  still in the decision making process. Biggest thing was changing our dinette table. To outward facing chairs.
We left there and walked over to Walmart got the few groceries we needed, and looked at batteries.
Went out to the truck, Jim said, seems like we should buy them now or wait till we're somewhere towing and truck won't start, blah blah blah.
Let's go see if it starts. We got out to the truck, it started, but it didn't want to. Jim said what should be due now.

Why don't you go back in, I'll sit here with the truck running, so that's what he did. He went and got two new batteries.
Now he has a job for tomorrow, really he has a lot of jobs for tomorrow. I made him a list he loves the list, NOT.

As he was in and out of the store quickly I texted Thomas and Travis. Thomas said he was sick and later he said he did two at home positive covid test. OMG.
We got back home and I made dinner. I made smoked sausage that Tony and Sue Costanza gave us and John  D'Orazio's homemade pasta sauce.
I made two batches Jim's, was in the little pot with only onions and peppers. Mine was in the big pot with the same, but also couples zucchinis and an eggplant. Then we watched Naked and Afraid Castaways before bed.
