We woke up this morning just after 7:00 a.m.. this time change really messes us up. We got ready hated to leave this lovely spot, but can't wait to see Len and Phyllis. Jim decided to go out and use the dump station at the end of the lane, instead of putting out 30 ft of sewer hose.
The problem was how the one at the end of the road, instead of being level with the ground the hole is over a foot in the air, and we had to keep dumping the hose, it was backbreaking. It made it take way longer than it should have.
We pulled out about 10:30. Drove for a couple hours, and again our first and only rest area, it was full, we ended up parking in one of two spots for RVs to dump their sewers.
It made for a pretty nice spot real quick, went potty and grabbed lunch. We ate food we typically would warm up, but it was 85 out so it was okay cold. I didn't take any extra time to prepare anything else. Felt much better and we headed out again.
They forecasted to have rain, but we never got any until we were almost there. We drove for 3 hours until we finally arrived in Cullman Alabama, it started raining about a half an hour before we arrived. Phyllis texted me an hour earlier they had started to drizzle there.
As soon as we pulled in the driveway across the road we had to put the steps down and go potty. Gave Phyllis a big hug, Jim was next. She helped guide Jim back in, as usual he did a fantastic job.. by now it was just drizzling here. There was a big motorhome here. After we got back in the guy in the motorhome showed up his name was David. Len was at physical therapy, but he showed up , just after we got parked .
I got to give him a big hug . These people mean so much to us . I still look so forward to my Len hugs.
Then Phyllis said get situated eat dinner and then come up for dessert, she texted me later. After we finished minimal setup, I got food ready, Jim went and took a shower. So happy to be here it's like coming home.
After we ate dinner had our burgers he grilled the other day with Dee. We also had egg roll in a bowl.
We went to the house had fig cake, really good.
We chatted for a few hours. I love this photo wall, took a picture, Jim was so tired from his drive and back hurting, now we have 3 days to rest.
We drove about 270 miles today.
We went home a little bit after 9:00.Was really cool outside. Took a shower then worked on my food list of what I'm making for the next couple of days.
We have a fun day planned for tomorrow.
