Happy Monday

Happy Monday

Monday January 16, 2023

This morning I went to walk fit and then line danced.
I talked to Donna a few minutes after walk fit, she is our neighbor behind us.
They were having solar installed today, she has a Redwood FW like Nancy's. She invited us to come over to see it today around noon. When I returned from line dancing Jim was packing up all day and had most of the outside put away. Just has the golf cart to go. I said to Jim,,  let's run over to Donna quick and see the FW.  Which we did, we had a lovely visit, she showed us different things she did to redecorate her fifth wheel. They're going out west in a few weeks. Then we went back home and had lunch together, then we took a run up with the golf cart to get rid of some trash. When we got home we started to watch a TV show and Mike and Mandy stopped, we had a chat with them and Jim was grilling. I also had shrimp in the Instant pot outside too.. And then Cam stopped over in his Cricket.
He wanted to say hi and ask Jim how he got his new tires for the golf cart on. The ones he bought, were not mounted on wheels yet. He's having a difficult time figuring out how to do it. Or where to go with them.

We chatted for a while then later we talked to our neighbor again Brad him and his wife came over and watched Jim put the golf cart away. People are always fascinated with how it fits in the FW. Later we had dinner and I worked on the inside to prep for tomorrow's travel day.

 Tuesday January 17, 2023

Today we were up and moving, did not have to leave until 11:00. Decided not to do walk fit, as it would cut too much into our prep time to move. I did work on the blog a lot, and got one posted. Kept hearing Jim talking to people outside. So I hit post, and went outside to see  what fun  I was missing.
He was talking with our neighbor Brad again,  he was telling us about this Campground we were about to go to. We pulled out just at 11:00 am.

And Neil and Nancy pulled out right in front of us, literally. They CUT us off.
We had a fairly decent drive, traffic did get a little heavier as we got closer to Tampa. Had a couple lovely water views.
Gotta love palm tree lined roads at Old Tampa Bay
Then we arrived at Holiday Travel.
We had to make a turnaround to get back to our site which was probably over a  half mile back in.
Glad our site was way off the busy road though. There was a lot of wires and obstacles I was going to walk behind the rig. The guy was saying it was pretty far and then this lovely lady Barbara in her golf cart that came up to get her mail, offered  to drive me.
How nice of her, I jumped in the golf cart with her and I had Jim on the phone as I followed him watching the overhead wires. Everything was fine, and  I thanked Barbara and helped Jim with the pull through site which was very easy for him.
Once we got set up we looked out and saw people taking our picture. She was explaining how they just left our site in a motorhome, and made the right turn out of the site and pulled the neighbors awning roof loose on their permanent Park Model. We didn't even notice until they pointed it out, it was pulled way off the trailer.
The roof was really leaning over.
By now it was probably about 1:30 and I got lunch together quickly for us as we were pretty hungry by now. Jim got everything set up and when we first pulled in I noticed our window in the very back driver side of the FW was bouncing open. Jim looked at it once we got situated,  it came off the bracket that opens the window. He had to re-glue the window on.

After lunch we went for a walk around the campground there's over 600 sites, but 500 or so are permanent ones.
They  have a lovely building for activities.
A pool, we had a nice chat with some people that just moved in from New York. A Waterview with the fanciest cornhole granite slabs I've ever seen.
A lot of ducks that we're on the pond
