Donuts and Goodbyes

Donuts and Goodbyes

Monday February 6, 2023

It's Happy Monday , but sad day leaving the Huddle, and all of our switch grew friends. We got packed up this morning and then drove the truck down for donuts and goodbye.
Our neighbor in front of us Jerry, left really early and just parked his whole rig down there. Weren't quite ready to do that. We were not ready to leave our beautiful site.
It's always sad saying goodbye to everyone. My favorite part is walking outside of our RV, any time of day and seeing switch crew, and always being able to immediately start a conversation with happy campers.
After Jim had a donut we walked around saying goodbye to people. I got a few pictures, always trying to meet new people and remember more names. Is our biggest challenge.
We had to check out by 11:00, so we left about 10:30. We got back to the RV, finished putting everything away pulled out 10:55. Our Drive was only about 45 minutes to an hour today heading to Lake Magic, Encore Park, in  Kissimmee / Saint Cloud.

Shortly after we left, saw a sky writers, first looked like just writing numbers.
Then I said did Todd hire him.
If you can't read it, it said  U + GOD = 🙂

On the way I gave Lake Magic a call to see how hard fast the rule was for check-in time. They said it was noon,  but if  we arrived earlier we can just wait in the line till it was noon.
With traffic we arrived at 11:55, so perfect timing we were greeted by a lovely gentleman. He told us, a few rules,, our site number, a pull through, and how to get there.
We pulled into our site very unlevel and the sewer was a mile away. But Jim  makes it work. We did a quick setup, and by now we were starving, at least I was, it  was after 1:00 p.m. by now. We had made a plan to go to Cracker Barrel. So we put the air conditioner on
and set out for Cracker Barrel not very far away.

We had a lovely lunch, took  a lot of biscuits and Cornbread home for later, also a piece of catfish to share tomorrow. After we returned,  we did a little more setting up. Jim had the golf cart ready we took a ride to get a lay of the land.
This place is quite a large Campground, not as big as Orlando but it seems to be laid out weird.
We heard they were supposed to be a launch tonight after dark, from cape Canaveral, we went out to look. It was hard to see with the full or almost full moon. I made some soup for dinner and we watched some TV before bed.
